Disturbing nights for anyone?

2:00 am, a 9,000 decible cricket chirped in the bedroom. Tried to ignore, but drove me nuts. Up, light on (my poor puppy darling sleeping, disturbed her)....then get toidy paper for the kill. thought, would i be kind enough to capture it, turn off alarm system, walk downstairs in my mid-night no muscle phase and set it free. I went for the kill. turned on the light and no more sound. YEA. what's happened with you in the midst o'the night and how'd you handle it??? just me and my puppy here,,,,,that makes allllllllllll the difference in the world.
