Displaying of American flag rules?

Do you put out a flag? If so, am I right or wrong? IS it true that flags are to be bought in at dusk unless they are under light? Is it true that flags should be hung a certain way? Is it true they should not touch the ground or be put out in rain sleet snow? Is it true that you roll or fold the flag (that Im unsure on) in a certain way?

I think so. Try to tell my DH this. He says what are they going to do arrest people? I doubt it, but its called respect.

The reason this coversation came about is,we were sitting out, and the neighbors here (again in Hickville) leave flags out in dark, rain, etc. and some have them touching ground. SO I mentioned that its DISrespectful. (so sue me..lol).

(I got a little flag to put out tomorrow and was going to put it in the big front porch flower pot if it doesnt touch. If it does I WONT).

We rarely argue (and we arent now) BUT everytime I mention something about the neighbors, DH ALWAYS sticks up for these neighbors no matter what they do. (the former throwing of the butts on our lawn, parking their piece of junk car in front of our home for 6 months). NOW its the AMERICAN FLAG..lol.
