That only works if people comply. Universal Orlando is already open, too.

Yes.  " please scream inside your heart"

I have no idea how I would do that if I was terrified out of my wits!   Not a roller coaster lover here 🤪

If people are wearing masks on the rides, then it shouldn't matter if they scream or not.

I would never go now...too much of a risk!

A Disney vacation is supposed to be fun.  How can it be fun worrying about the pandemic and wearing a mask in 90 degree plus heat and humidity?!!!

DH and I were planning to go to DW in January for his birthday but we've already changed our minds.  How can you have "fun" when everything has to be planned, timed, "social distanced" etc. etc.  And IMO anyone who goes to Disney in FL in the summer is nuts anyway!!!

I destest amusement parks and hate crowds, so I guess I'll stay away. :-)

If you read the medical journals about what they are finding in autopsies of Covid-19 patients, you will never want to leave your house again.

Life goes on. I wouldn't go in the heat in a mask but for those that want to I applaud them. We have to open up. If you can riot and protest and get haircuts and go shopping and work you can go to Disney. Locked down and in a mask isn't working for some. It's a shame that we are so diveded on this issue but I don't see either side backing down soon. Just my opinion and I won't be debating this issue. It's a waste of time.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

@Nancy Drew, it is so bad now, that many states should immediately go back to the drawing board and shut down all but essential activities. And even with that, it's possible, hopely unlikely, that we're too late.

Ignoring what's happening is not an option.

I live near Disney, so our local news is full of the opening news. Today I watched in amazement as visitors in wheelchairs and parents with strollers entered park as if they had not a care in the world. People screaming in the rides, throwing those cute little droplets everywhere. Have Americans lost their minds? Are they blind to what is happening down here in FL? Is it vacation at any cost, at any risk?

@CJC

I’ve been watching videos made by passholders who attended and, I have to say, what I am seeing looks pretty good. Temperature checks before being admitted. Masks, social distancing even on rides, tons of cleaning, etc. Pretty deserted park.

How they will handle things for the for the general public tomorrow, I don’t know. But if anyone can succeed at opening in a healthy and safe way, it is going to be Disney.

-Just to be clear, they couldn’t pay me enough to convince me to go myself. I am unlikely even to ever go in a store again....
