I got a Whirlpool six plus years ago. It runs so quiet I can't tell it's on and it gets the dishes spotless on a light setting. I'd recommend Whirlpool.

Dishwashers are another product that have been "improved" to,the point of absurdity. mine has all these fancy cycles and extras that I never use. It came with the house so not my choice. It works fine but I have never used anything but the regular wash cycle.

My mom just bought a Bosch. I was visiting there recently, and will say the dishes and glassware sparkle when they are done! But the cycle runs for a very long time.

We had everything Whirlpool for over 20 years. The washing machine sprung a leak (which my son could have fixed in 5 minutes) but we saw a sale in Best Buy that we couldn't refuse. It was the LG washer/dryer duo for under $900.00. I gave the Whirlpool dryer to a neighbor who never had one and doesn't know how she ever did without it. My son's friend took the washer....

Anyway, the Whirlpool fridge is still like brand new, as is the dishwasher, which is so quiet, we don't know if it's on or not. My husband is another one who loves to wash dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. He says it relaxes him. Well, okay then....

We also bought an upright Frigidaire freezer (floor model) which I also love. I am torn between brands. If I had a choice, I would buy Kitchen Aid or Frigidaire. I don't really like my LG washer/dryer.

sophiamarie, the salesman at Lowe's told me he had a woman in there this week who had a Whirlpool Refrigerator that she was finally replacing after almost 35 years!!!

He said "they aren't made that well anymore", but you never know.. Whirlpool makes Kitchen Aid and Roper and some other brands as well, according to him..

Ain't that the truth. My fridge (Whirlpool) still looks like brand new. Sometimes I wish something would happen so I could get a new one. We only had one small problem about a year ago with the icemaker in the door. My husband ordered a switch or something online for about $6.00 and it took him less than 5 minutes to fix it. It's well over 20 years old......

love my fisher-paykel 2 drawer dishwasher.......bought it in 2006 i think. i like that i can wash one drawer and have the other one to fill. the majority of the buttons are on the inside top of the drawer so it is very low profile. nothing inside that can rust.

we bought it from lowes and they had an installer contact us. we have a whole house appliance service plan through our gas and electric company so it is covered under that. we did have to call one time for service, but not bad for it being 8 years old. i would buy one again.

I am a property manager for a few vacation rentals here in the resort desert area. The dishwasher in one of my properties went out while we had guests in the home. My maintenance man and I ran to Lowes in the morning and found another one and he installed it before lunchtime.

It's a Samsung, stainless steel and while it cleans very nicely I am not happy with the drying cycle, it always seems some of the dishes are still wet, so my housekeeping team spends time drying them before putting them away.

I wouldn't recommend it for this reason, we had a GE in before and it was great. Had been the same one in the property when the owners purchased it a few years ago.
