I'd pay my provider to remove FN.

Those of you who never watch CNN are missing out on Mike Rowe's new show- Somebody's gotta do it.

I switched from Comcast this summer and am otherwise satisfied with Dish. Their customer service is 100% better than Comcast. I still have Comcast Internet. By the way, DirectTV is still negotiating with AMC and have told subscribers that they may lose access to Walking Dead next year. The Dish executive said they are facing fierce competition from Internet streaming.

Dish may permanently ax CNN from lineup

We have Dish Network and rarely watch anything on CNN so for us it would not be a big loss. Dish is still in negotiations with Turner, at least I think they are at this time. We lost some channels that I did use our DVR, but none that really bother me too much.

The only one that still ticks me off is taking of the Madison Square Garden Network(MSG) about 3 years ago. That is my hockey teams network and where they have a lot of shows I like to DVR, plus I got to watch home team announcers call their hockey games.

With the Center Ice Package, we do get to see all the hockey games, but every single on of my New York Rangers teams games are broadcast and play by play by the other teams announcers. Some call them pretty good, but others not only display their bias towards their team, but worst of all. Some of them do not even know the names of the players on the Rangers team, and that really gets smoke coming out my ears.

I've done some play by play calling of hockey games and in many of them I did not see the visiting teams roster until about a half hour before the game started. Even with my brain I was able to remember most of their names via their team numbers, and many of them I could remember by the way they skated.

The more that is getting streamed to tv audiences the more these contract disputes are going to come into play. I see it getting worse if anything than it is right now.

It also includes TBS and HLN.

TBS is the biggest and most watched of all the Time Warner networks.

I wonder why they ""forgot"" to mention TBS (and all the basketball and baseball games (especially playoff games) on that network).

Re: Dish may permanently ax CNN from lineup

So, what is the solution? If they would just offer a per channel purchase, it would be easier to get what you want.

Trying to figure out a package that includes the few channels I watch is like trying to translate a foreign language. So many things I don't care about and the few that I do are now in question for returning.

I'm ready to unplug!

We have Dish and still have TBS. We don't have CNN, TCM or HLN. There may be others I'm forgetting.
