I would go for that.

I agree.

I couldn't care less about CNN and HLN, etc., but I WANT TCM BACK! I've got my old cable company's phone number sitting right beside me right now because I'm tired of the games these providers play........if I have to changer services every couple of years, so be it! Dish is no longer offering me what I want and I completed my 2-yr contract a while ago, so they might be pulled sooner rather than later.

Me, too!

Re: Dish may permanently ax CNN from lineup

We were satisfied Dish customers for 15 years, but I just remembered the one negative experience we had after we terminated our service with them. We followed their insturctions for return of equipment, and thought eveything was fine. Three months later we received a bill for the shipping cost of returning their equipment. I called customer service about it, and their CS voided the charges after looking through our account. We didn't want to stop service, but had no choice because our trees blocked reception of their new satellite. I think the CS rep was as appalled as I was that we received that bill. So, just make sure you contest any unfair charges if you drop them.

Apparently lots of cable companies will either be outright cutting channels or offering packages with fewer stations.

I'd love if ny companies did that. I know at least 20 channels I now pay for that I don't need --- Fox, Fox, Fox, Fox and Fox are the first 5!

I'm wondering if she means Fox or Fox News. I'd miss Sleepy Hollow without Fox!

I miss CNN. If the channels are gone permanently, I wonder if prices will be lowered. Doubt it. I'm switching to cable.

Re: Dish may permanently ax CNN from lineup

I have Suddenlink cable, and I pay about $85/mo for basic, no "fancy" channels like HBO, Showtime, etc.

They recently took away channels like Comedy Central, and replaced it with the blaze.{#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

Each side blames the other, with the customer caught in the middle.

Satellite is probably no better than cable with the games that they play, about threatening to drop channels, so why should I even bother to switch?
