@PinkMomi  You may be local and sharing what you/your husband are aware of in regards to what's happening there but I'm referring to the misinformation you shared on page 2 (post #13) when you mentioned climate change. Scientists have debunked that and it's just propaganda to manipulate people and policies - hence misinformation.

So I know that some people on here have said they don't want to send money to ARC - here is an alternative place that was set-up by The Hawaii Community Foundation call "Maui Strong Fund". People in Hawaii and other stateside organizations are urging People to contribute to that fund.

When the Camp Fire happened in CA there was a local group called North Valley Community Foundation and I sent money to them to disperse to their local community, I get emails from this Foundation and they are the ones that sent me the email to contribute to the above Fund.

Interesting to hear the reports today that Maui's top emergency management official has resigned, amid a storm of criticism, as per Reuters, U.S.A. Today, et al.

Citing "health reasons".

Hoping and praying that, going forward, people get the help they need in this desperate situation.

I’m so glad someone mentioned the Red Cross because I will NOT donate to them!

They are mismanaged, treat workers poorly, charge those in needs for items that should be free, and a large percentage of funds go to “administrative costs”.

If you wish to donate during any disaster, there are much better choices, such as World Central Kitchen.

My Dad was in the Army in WW II. He said the Red Cross charged the soldiers for coffee and donuts. The Salvation Army were better people and donated goods for free.

HaHaHaHaHa! 🤣

Perhaps you could believe more accurate scientists.
Global Warming, Climate Change, Pollution (you pick) is destroying our Earth and making it unlivable.

Just because it is not affecting you doesn't mean it is not real. Dire consequences can take hundreds of years, but severity has been accelerating in the last 50 years.

Scientists have been urgently warning us about all this, at least since the 70's.  Do you really think 101 degree ocean temperatures off of Florida (as well as many other oceans) are normal?

Follow the money. Who actually gains revenue from their views, big industry or environmentalists?

@PinkMomi   Unfortunately, some here and elsewhere with certain mindsets, you are wasting your time with "facts."

Even witnessing all sorts of weirdness weather wise, some choose to bury their heads in what is left of the sand.

Certain media outlets confirm their thinking so trying to shed light is an exercise in futility.

@PinkMomi people believe in all kinds of bizarre and fantastical things. End of the world kinds of things that effect their ability to see the world through the lens of reality. Others deny because that's the "side" they are on.

It's enough for the majority who believe in science to be concerned and actively work to turn the tide.

They laughed at and scorned Noah too. How did that work out?😉

Mahalo for your responses!

Yeah, it's probably a wasted effort, but you never know, just thought I'd try. Guess I don't like being accused of spreading rumors...

There are way too many facts and evidence of Climate Change and the destructive domino effect it is having on our Earth to relay here.

Unfortunately, if we people don't take it seriously, a lot more people will be suffering like those on Maui. I shutter to think if Hurricane Dora had made landfall as a category 4 hurricane. It made its way across almost the ENTIRE Pacific Ocean as a cat 4 superstorm.

Prayers for those in the path of Hurricane Hilary... 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
