Good luck O/P.

I'd eat lots of lean protein and low glycemic index veggies!  You will lose weight!

Huh?

So walking is bad for your back?

Ah....don't think so.

A treadmill is cushioned for less impact than 'live' walking...has arms on the side for safety...in fact, physical therapy centers have treadmills for rehab. In fact, treadmills are encouraged for 'bad backs'.

I think it depends on what your back issue is.

I really think my problem was poor posture.  I would start to get fatigued and lean on the bars.  I'm only surmising this is my problem because I can do Leslie Sansone walking DVDs without any issues and I often walk outside on concrete and have never had a problem.  It's always when I do the treadmill.
