Diet & Exercise Thread - 1/1

celebrate a new you - lol

well, I did 15 minutes on my bike. I plan to do the one mile walk at home tape tonight.

food - well, I had my cup of coffee and a yogurt this morning. I went grocery shopping - trying to be good here!

green salad mix

eggs (for hard boiled eggs in my salads)

bacon bits (for my salads)

flax seed (I was running out anyway - I use these just about anywhere - lol)

arnold whole wheat sandwich thins - 21 g of carb with 5 g of fiber - I still do love my bread! this will be difficult to cut out and I don't really like to bake.

wickles wicked pepper rings (for my salads)

plain yogurt

blueberries (for yogurt)

unsweetened coconut (for yogurt)

pecans (for salads & yogurt)

cottage cheese

cantaloupes

tuna fish (again, a nice change for my salads)

organic crunchy pb

and I found an interesting salad dressing - Avocado Vinaigrette

tea - both black & green tea, plus mint tea - I will have to make my own mint tea, as the one I buy has 10 g of carbs!!

egg beaters

sausages

V8 (spicy mix. Will probably cut with H2O)

so, I figure yogurt or toast & pb in the am, salad for lunch and probably fruit & cottage cheese for dinner or my eggs & sausages (as I love breakfast food at dinner). That is my menu for the week as of this time.

what about you? What have you planned for menus and such? I am very interested in knowing about other people's diet tips and food choices.
