The last book I finished was The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult. I finished it a few days ago, although it took me longer than usual to read it. I enjoyed it very much although the subject matter was disturbing to me.
Since I finished it, I've pulled the bookmark on two perfectly good books, which in a different time, I feel I would have enjoyed. I just had no patience for them.
I'm now reading The Imposter Bride by Nancy Richler. Ordinarily I would be lapping it up, as it's exactly the type of book I enjoy, but I'm reading slowly and not really getting into it.
I think I'm just not in the mood to read. How can that be? It sounds impossible since I'm such a book lover, but I don't seem to have patience to read now.
Has that ever happened to you? If so, how did you get out of it. I hate feeling this way!
