Did anyone go to see Godzilla yet? - Page 2

as soon as the big boy hits DVD - he is mine! i never care what critics say about a movie - paid and unpaid. i saw earlier this morning it has made $100 million so far - $38.5 million on opening day!

Update- Thanks again Biancardi! -My husband and I went to the early (morning) matinee today. Godzilla IS fabulous! Loved the story line and all too. (I don't want to give it away) But its worth it in 3D. LOVED the effects! We know the guy who works there b/c we go to movies a lot. He said yesterday there were lines out the door with people waiting to see it, that they started the movie late. Today because it was morning there were only about 10 people there besides us. When we left it was getting crowded w people waiting to come in. Anyway I recommend the movie! Its great!

it did so well opening weekend there's talk of a sequel. it did extremely good numbers overseas too.

Funny you should mention it! I haven't seen a movie in a theater in YEARS, but I'm so tired of missing events because nobody wants to go with me that I made up my mind to go catch a cheapo matinee this week and see Godzilla by myself. I'm even going to get myself a big greasy popcorn.

a reviewer called Godzilla the dinosaur samurai- lol. I guess that would fit. Like the Akira Kurosawa films about the lone samurai - grumpy, destructive, but really is a protector

I just called to check on show times... the last matinee just started at 4:30 but there is a 7:00 showing and I'm thinking I will go check it out since there isn't much on tv tonight. Me and Godzilla and Bryan Cranston with a huge bucket of buttered popcorn sounds like a great date!!!!

Yup! That's my plan for Tuesday afternoon! I might even pop for a big drink.

I had the same thought when I read your post! Have you considered moving to the high desert?
