Did anyone go to see Godzilla yet?

Has anyone seen Godzilla yet? If so what did you think? DH and I are thinking of going Sunday or sometime this coming week. I saw some posts elsewhere where people typed now THAT was a monster movie. (I always listen more to the public than critics). So I was wondering.

I don't want to give out spoilers, so that is why I didn't go into details, shorty. Just the audience reaction Smiley Happy

I've seen every Godzilla movie ever made, thanks Biancardi, now I can justify the money for the movie ticket. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

Glad to hear from someone we know that liked it. I might have to catch a matinee tomorrow. I've really been wanting to see it.

I was told Godzilla, himself, was not in the movie as much as they liked. Brian Cranston's character was featured heavily....sounds like they're trying to make it more of a "story" than special effects. Is that true? And take earplugs.....it's a "loud" movie.

Godzilla was in the movie quite a bit during the last quarter of the movie. There were other *things* that were shown as the focal point (all I am saying here..)

Brian's character was not featured heavily throughout the movie. Once you see it, you will know why I said that!

Loud? Only when Godzilla roared...I didn't find it to be a loud movie. But that is subjective - I found Jurassic Park to be louder than Godzilla, oddly enough
