Robin Gibbs death triggered my memory again of Steel Pier back in the day. I was wondering if anyone else went there when you were younger? (PRE casino days this was). Our family would stay in Brigantine NJ (an island off of Atlantic City) right ON the beach. (It was fabulous). Then we would go over the bridge to Steel Pier all the time in Atlantic City. (I also watched Steel Pier on tv with Ed Hurst hosting, and Eddie Nixon dancing). So then I started looking up old Steel Pier information and found lots of pics etc online. So many great memories of seeing famous singers at Steel Pier and walking the boardwalk in the 70s. I loved Eddie Nixons dancing back then and we met him at Steel Pier. I even found a video of him dancing online. Also I remember Jerry Blavat (the geater with the heater..lol.). And hes still around and has shows people go to where they still dance. Anyway family and I saw the 4 Seasons, Gary Lewis and The Playboys, David Cassidy, the Bee Gees, the list goes on!...all on Steel Pier. I was just wondering if anyone else on here is familiar with all of this?
