Kanye West is now Ye—and that could be good for business. The entertainment and fashion mogul cited “personal reasons'' in the petition he filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court to legally change his name from Kanye Omari West to just Ye (pronounced yay, with no middle or last name), according to media reports.

Does the mean Kim is Mrs.Ye?  Unsure of the status of the divorce so maybe she escaped in time.  He's obviously having mid-life crisis issues.

He too has a mental illness.  I have read that sometimes he is on medication and sometimes he takes himself off.  He does not have a conservator,

ETA:  Oh for Goodness sakes, Saint Pablo is a song, I'm so out of it.  The only song I know by Kanye, oops Ye, is Gold digger.

He is not "now Ye."  He has filed a change of name petition.  To my knowledge no judge has yet granted the petition and signed a court order to change the name.

He's been living on his ranch in Wyoming, away from the hot mess. While the estranged family complained about him, they didn't complain about his money. He gave the house he designed in LA to Kim.

I hope his life continues to improve for the sake of his children. He's been back into Christian music. In fact Joel Osreen asked him to join A Night of Hope tours just prior to the pandemic.

I truly wish him well.

I believe he is a troubled man, who nevertheless has done a lot to help others in need. Why would he give up his last name completely when his children have that same last name?

@beach-mom ... Yes. I agree he's a troubled man. The first thing l thought about was why would he give up his last name when he has children?!?! Why can't he just call himself what he wants without going to court to legalize it? Not right in my opinion.
