Did you have a nice July 4th? We had a good time. Ate way to much food but it was so good. Our fireworks were even nice this year. The weather was perfect.

Not really. I woke up Friday morning with an attack of gout in my left big toe. It still hurts really bad. I take Allopurinol which is supposed to control the uric acid but sometimes I get an attack anyway. Not nice on the 4th.

retreated to the back of our house.... it was quiet and very pleasant. I do not care for the noise and my poor dog hates it also. Unnecessary noise and pollution.

yes! on the 3rd, since we had hurricane force winds and rain here on the 4th!!!!

I was still hearing firecrackers until past 2 am,,,, and we are in the fire damaged foothills...what is wrong with people?! Today I am using a rare day off to have my plumber install a new kitchen faucet..he was willing to come on a Saturday for me!!!! I figured since I had to remove everything from under the sink for my dishwasher install this week why put it all back when this needs to be done eventually, anyway????

We postponed our get together until tomorrow.

Wonderful... until about 9 at night when the thoughtless people started in with high-grade fireworks.

Everything is dry in the Bay Area, including people's yards. It went on until 2am, which seems to be the unwritten rule for time allowed by the thoughtless. The 10 month old kitty, usually a brave little soul, crumpled and was really afraid.

Other than that, we had a nice time and a lot of healthy salads, LOL.

I had a nice quiet day.

I made bbq chicken and macaroni salad.

Just basic Kraft bbq sauce(I don't have a special sauce lol) but it was good.

I can see about 4 different towns of great fireworks from my window but last night I didn't see that many.

Maybe these towns can't afford these expensive shows anymore?

I notice each year there has been less and less to see.

It sounded like bombs were going off outside for a while but they stopped pretty early thank goodness!

If you consider yardwork a good time then we had a blast.
