I live in NY and we have the Powerball and Mega Millions lotteries. I never buy tickets but couldn't resist! I bought 3 games for $6 of quick pick.The pot is up to 500 million! So those of you who can, are you in it to win it?

This made me smile as I just was watching the news and they were talking about the Powerball . . . I thought about buying some tickets but that would have involved me taking off my pj's and putting on regular clothes which isn't going to happen at this point in the evening so I very much wish all of you the best of luck that did purchase a ticket!

My husband and I always play both Powerball and Mega Millions as well as Fantasy Five (a Georgia lottery game).  We bought three extra quick picks for tonight's Powerball. 

I'm also in an ongoing Mega Millions pool with my sister and 6 friends. Our pool bought two Quick Picks for the Powerball drawing for tonight. We've been playing it, in addition to Mega Millions, for the last few weeks. 

I'd love to win so my sister could quit her job and not have to work anymore.

No.....I think these huge payouts to one or a few folks are obscene.

It would help more folks if there were more people sharing in these mega jackpots.

Nope, $500 million is too rich for my blood - I'd have relatives coming out of the woodwork!  LOL

(Keeping in mind with that much money, DH & I could change our identifies and buy our own island somewhere where they couldn't find us.)

I was thinking aabout it, but since Reba is going to win I thought it was silly for me to try.  Maybe next week.
