NBC is showing the closing ceremony goes off at 6:00 p.m. eastern time, which it almost is here.  Did I miss it? If so, what did he do? Thanks.

The Closing Ceremony started at 3 pm eastern and is almost over.

(For me, I took "goes off" to mean starts and assumed there was a time confusion.)

Yes! It was fun and the flag arriving back to the US and the Venice Beach performances were excellent.

What a great Olympics! Really looking forward to LA!

Great show!  The LA performances were fantastic!

I loved the entire sequence connecting Paris to Los Angeles!

@newjersey Yes he did.  He dropped rip lined into the stadium and got the Olympic flag and rode out on a motorcycle into a cargo airplane.  He did a parachute drop to the Hollywood sign and handed off the flag to a champion cyclist.  Was quite dramatic and well done. I thought.

It was a great Closing Ceremony. 

It was a great Olympics.

The Olympic rings on the Hollywood sign was a nice touch!

BTW, H.E.R sang and played the Star Spangled Banner in France and she was terrific. I loved it!
