I bought one of Shawn Killinger's holiday sweatshirts on 11/30/24 and paid full price. Today (12/27/24) I saw that the price is reduced to $41.98. Since it's still within that 30 day period, I asked customer service about getting the price adjustment and was told that they "recently" changed their policy. The new policy is that if you request a price adjustment, they will only give it to you if the item you ordered is still available in the same color and size that you had previously ordered! REALLY? I asked when this policy went into effect and was told over 6 months ago. I could not get any further information about this. Were customers informed about this? I feel it's terribly unfair. Thoughts??

I have found that it's the type of sale. If it's just "on sale" then they will adjust the price. If it's on clearance, lunchtime special or something similar they will not adjust the price.
I'm assuming that if it's a holiday item it is now on clearance and they won't adjust it.

I've never asked for a price adjustment. If something is more than I am willing or able to spend I don't order. I agree to the price when I order the item.
I definitely would not expect a price adjustment on a holiday item after the holiday.

I believe that was always the policy. The item had to be available at the lower price for the exact same item you bought. I think there have been other changes to the price adjustment but I don't know about them.

It was changed over 6 months ago. The entire policy is posted under Returns on this site. Definitely agree with not getting an adjustment on a holiday item after the holiday though.

@JulieBean. That's the first I've heard about the size and color having to be available. Did you consult the website for any policy changes?

Most companies offer this without all the restrictions. It has nothing to do with how much money I have or can spend.
I have it, and I like to keep it. It looks better in my account.

I think you are expecting a bit much. If it wasn't too much when you bought it, and there is nothoing wrong with it, you should not expect a price adjustment. To handle all the price adjustments that would be asked for would mean a whole slew of employees to handle the paperwork.

Just to clarify - Customer Service mentioned nothing about the sweatshirt being a "holiday" item. The item isn't on clearance etiher or a "lunchtime special"...it's simply has "sale price" advertised. I was told that I couldn't get the price adjustment due to the item no longer being available in the size and color I ordered as that was their "recently changed" policy. Like many of the Q's customers, I buy things that I like and at the price advertised but when I happen to see the same item advertised for a cheaper price and it's within the 30 day window, why wouldn't I want to get that credited back to my account? To me, that's just a sensible request.
