Lori and her hubby will enter their guilty pleas on Friday afternoon via videoconference after reaching a plea deal. They entered the guilty pleas because they know there is a low risk of having to do time in jail due to the CoVID-19 crisis. She could get 2 months and he could get 5 months. Never let a crisis go to waste.

Regarding College Admissions irregularity: (This is a bit off topic):
I always wondered about Jodie Foster going to Yale, and Brooke Shields going to Princeton. Just wondering....making no accusations.

I'm sure you're right.

@germanshepherdlove Having worked on the defense side of the criminal justice system for over 25 years (now retired) and spending a lot of my time in jails and prisons, I can ASSURE you that your assessment of spending even ONE DAY in jail/prison is accurate and correct. It is horrendous!!
While I can't speak fo CA conditions of confinement, in most states (including my own) Lori will go through exactly the same routine any other defendant goes through when taken into custody and unless she is in "profective custody" (that she might be because of high-profile nature of case) she would have communal shower and toilet. In PC (protective custody) she would have private toilet (escort to shower); however, she would be confined to her cell 23 hrs/day.
Martha Stewart was a minimum-level inmate in Federal prison and, as I recall, she used a communal toilet and shower.

Let's see if either of them actually serve any time. She was so smug about the fact that she was above the law. IMO, she should serve every single day of the sentence. It's time that these "entitled celebrities " learn that they are not above the law and actions have consequences.

Shoekitty sad: I think both of them ( Brooke and Jodi) are very intelligent. Both received high grades, and hid out in college to enjoy a normal life. I could be wrong but think Jodi might be Mensa smart. There are some celebrities that not only were Rhodes Scholars, Members of MENSA, but whizzed through college, and even received ****** Laude . Among those , but not entirely, are Gieena Davis, Tommy Lee Jones, Kris Kristofferson, James Franco, Kate Beckensale, Jodie Foster, Natalie Portman, Sharon Stone, Steve Martin, shikira,James woods, Lisa Kudrow, Quentin Tarintino, Ashton Kutcher These are a few. Also that guy who played Superman on tv in the 1990's. Whatwas his name?. Jodie Foster was listed as high IQ. I don't remember about Brooke Shields, but I do remember she took entrance
on he other hand I don't think Lori or her husband went to college, which was in part their obsession t make sure their kids went to college. Te pointwith them is their daughters could have gone to quite a few colleges here in US....they just wanted to start at the top, and also keep them in California close to where they lived

@DottieBlue Just because someone is an actor does not mean they can't be smart. Our friend was Brooke Shields bodyguard and drove her to Princeton every day. He said he thought she was very intelligent.

@DottieBlue does have an excellent point. Many people get into top colleges who shouldn't be there because they are Legacy, or family paid or donated for them to be in. One such student, God test his soul was John Kennedy Jr. he had trouble doing the wrk, barely passed. He was a wonderful young man. He had learning disabilities before they knew how to really deal with them he struggled. But who turns down aKennedy. Also, I have heard of peopleI have know getting in because their family worked at the college the attended.

@shoekitty Oh how right you are! Same with Jared K. He went to HS in my area and had to be legacied into Harvard. No secret, it's a known fact. I could say more but better not. As long as your family member went to the college and could make a big donation, you are in. That's where Lori made her mistake. Not knowing legacy and money will get you in. Not just money.

Both Jodie Foster and Brooke Shields were well-known child actors.
Many institutions, particularly the Ivy League, give "points" on admissions for high-profile applicants. Admissions based solely on academic merit are not the whole picture in the Ivy League, as they strive for diversity and a wide range of extracurricular achievements.
This is not to say anything about the qualifications of either of these two women.
