Officially, the mine is still open but since copper was more in demand (profitable), the mine owners closed down the turquoise mining part of the operation. This does not mean there is no turquoise left, rather, only that it is not currently being mined. Who knows whether it will start over the turquoise mining at some point in the future? I agree. I have always said that and am of the belief that ONE DAY the SB mine is sure to re-open. Maybe not in our lifetime but it will someday. Turquoise is still there. And as you say, "Never say never".

That's why its always important to only buy or collect that which you LOVE. And why one can only go with whatever the current markets are or where a commodity stands at the moment.

The rest is speculation - whether it be a future with a husband or stocks or health or even SB turquoise.

One can only truly go with the moment.

But SB turquoise for those who love it has been a favorite for decades before any home shopping channel picked up on it. And lovers of SB will be there loooong after the last camera is turn off on home shopping channels.

I believe I do know what you mean.  

I'm sure you're right about the tablet cameras.  I have no grandkids to try this out on. (Which is OK, actually.  Am not chomping at the bit for grandchildren.)

I see you also solved the grand hotel breakfast clothing dilemma (that you've since deleted).  (Which is also OK - no need to set yourself up for unwanted attention before you even leave.)

I don't know how I cited the wrong quote. I guess it was a longer day at the market than I thought. 'Sun was bright, there was a sea of turquoise surrounding me and I had one street churros too many I think.
