this is wow news. when i read this article this morn I was really surprised. i wonder where this photo has been all these years.

I wouldn't doubt it she was captured and passed in Siapan.

this is really getting good. Maybe there is some final solution to this very long old mystery

The most popular theory I have always remembered is the theory that AE was taken as a prisoner by the Japanese and either executed or died in captivity.

Photo found in archives Naval Intelligence file WWII - just in a file with nothing special attached or even in its own file. Story contained that info as well. The facial reconition programs used and the experts are intriguing. This is fascinating!! Wow.

Apparently there are several files of documents oncerning the case and the photo was in one of the old files.
