Remember when she entered the cast of Dynasty in 1984 as the half sister to Blake Carrington, Dominique Devereaux, so beautiful and glamorous.

It was an affair that lasted for a decade.  Sidney was married.

Ah, that's interesting, @Mz iMac.   Also didn't know about Duke Ellington.  That's quite an eclectic span, from Duke Ellington to David Frost!  I'm vaguely remembering that she had a daughter, she was very close to, who I think was quite a beauty as well..

She was just so glamorous.  True to her fashion model origins, she wore clothes so well-- always looked fantastic.  Then she could trump people's expectations by turning in a gritty performance in the earthy "Claudine",  ditching the glitz for harsh reality...

RIP   I do remember the show Julia but was quite young.  I loved that she was a nurse.  Did not realize she was on Dynasty.  Thanks for sharing mz iMac.

Shared on another post that this was sad news...I first saw Diahann in "Carmen Jones" and thought she was one of the most beautiful women I had seen. She was very talented and I also loved her role in Dynasty. She will be missed!!!
