Thank you all for the kind comments and wishes.

I always wear a mask but I have gone to the grocery store which even now is crowded. I wash my hands and use hand sanitizer but I could have caught it anywhere. So at this point we are focusing on quarantining and getting better. Tomorrow we'll talk to our doctor. I do have a pulse oximeter and so far our oxygen levels are fine. And I have cough medicine, Tylenol, Vitamin D and zinc

I've written before about my husband being unemployed and I look at the bright side--at least he won't be missing work, lol.  Sometimes I have to laugh otherwise I'd cry.

@busymom22

I think you have a great attitude and my prayer is that your whole family will bounce back before too long and have a wonderful spring with a new job making more money and improved health and outlook for the future.  Bless you.

Thank you for your encouraging comments.  They truly mean so much!

That sounds exactly like us. We wear masks whenever we go out. Wash our hands as soon as we come home. I use the sani-wash when I run the dishwasher and Lysol Laundry Sanitizer when I wash clothes.

My husband had a fever. He called to be tested. He got an appointment the next day. He started to develop a cough. And asked our Doctor for something for the cough. The Doctor said just take any over the counter medicine. The test came back positive. The fever lasted one day. But the cough lingered on for several days.

The County Board of Health made several calls to make sure we were quaratined. And gave us 2 pages of directions.

We still have no idea how we got it.

There are two couples in our community who have had similar situation.  They had groceries delivered, did not leave home as they are retired.  One has a daughter living hundreds of miles away and the other has no children.  They are all professionals who obeyed the rules to the letter of the law and one couple is a doctor and nurse.  It is their theory that masks do not work.

@drizzellla It has never been thought that masks are 100% effective against infection. COVID is highly infectious. Masks are just one tool in the toolbox. Some masks are more effective than others. Avoiding all contact with others  is key. Even with complete isolation there is the slim possibility of some active virus fomites on something touched and then transferred to the eyes, nose or mouth. It's truly a shame that your friends are ill. I'm hoping for their recovery and my heart goes out to them.

@busymom22 Best wishes for you and your family!  It sounds like you have been and are doing everything you can do and are trying to stay positive.   There is more stimulus on the way so hopefully that will help your family financially.  Better days are ahead!

I prayed for you and your family after reading about your husbands employment; I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers.

You were doing the best you could to keep your family safe. Your attitude and positive outlook is such a strength that will help your family through this!  As I've said countless times this year "I can either laugh about it or cry about it...."

What we found helpful:  (Per MD guidance)

Tylenol (Doc said no aspirin)

Pulse Oximeter (purchased at CVS). If number goes below 90% go to ER.  Apparently you can get low oxygen and not realise it until its harder to treat.

Thermometer.  If temp is consistently above 101 degrees call hospital.

Have Neosporin (or generic) on hand in case you get the covid rash...hubby has had the rash for 3.5 weeks.

Rest, rest, rest....  I'm so surprised how fatigued we bother are/were.

I am not a medical person...just saying what we did to get better.

@mcducky -That is strange because the top guy got a steroid, aspirin and vitamins.

My daughter's dr told her to take aspirin too-she had the flu but told to take aspirin

just in case her covd negative was positive.(from many websites and news stations-)

'Led by Jonathan H. Chow, MD, an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, the study looked at 412 patients hospitalized with Covid-19. About a quarter (23.7%) of these patients had received aspirin in the seven-day time period before their admission to the hospital up to 24 hours after their admission. The research team found that those who had received aspirin during this time period ended up being 43% less likely to have been admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU), 44% less likely to have been placed on mechanical ventilation, and 47% less likely to have died in the hospital."

These studies are not conclusive but I wonder why many drs do recommend aspirin and your dr did not.Maybe we don't know a lot. who knows?

@busymom22 .................Sorry your hubby has been ill and you and daughter are not feeling well.

However, you must know that wearing a mask does NOT prevent you from getting infected with Covid or anything else.  You and daughter should not assume anything, and check with your doctor.

Hope you all are feeling much better.  God bless
