Hello Everybody,

A friend of mine has written a poem in which she wants to make into a picture book. It is a poem that is geared towards dog lovers and people of faith (similar to the "Footprints in the Sand" poem). Her wish is to get more people to appreciate the beauty of poetry and to help make reading more fun for children. If she can get this off the ground, ultimately she would like to branch out and explore more opportunities on how to market the poem.

She's heard of a few authors who somehow managed to get their stories into the hands of publishers who have made them come to life in children's books- for free. She has emailed and written many letters to countless publishers throughout New York (and several other states) but was wondering if anyone knew of a reputable publisher personally. This means so much to her and I would love to see her make her dream come true for herself, and for others.

Any information or a point in the right direction would be truly appreciated.
