My best to you, @Kachina624 .  Not an easy thing to deal with at any time, but especially now.  Hang in there.

@CelticCrafter   I will be going to a cancer center hospital tomorrow for the second half of a procedure to remove a large basal cell carcinoma.  It's a skin graft on my nose and must be done.  Believe me, I wish I didn't have to do this.

@Kachina624 Best of luck to you. I had my second bout with skin cancer last

October, also on the nose. I actually had skin cancer removed on both sides

of my nose, different years.

Last year though was the first time that I had to have a skin graft. It took some time

to improve for me but it is looking a whole lot better. Just a dab of makeup on it

now and it is not to visible. Hope it works out fine for you too.

@threecees    Thanks, this is my second bout too.  My doctor, a cute, young thing, called this morning to advise that she just got back from a 2 week vacation in Brazil and is is quarantined for 2 weeks so can't do my surgery tomorrow.  She offered me the option of seeing another doctor.  I took it, so will go Wednesday.

I have a dental appt. on April 1. I plan on going but if they call me to cancel then I'll have no choice but to stay home. At this point I'm not cancelling. The dental office will have to make that decision for me first.

Krimpette, good that you posted this as many on this forum were debating this topic.

My cleaning appt comes up in May, and wondering what might happen if this thing continues to rage for another couple of months.  Not counting on fed gov to handle it properly at this point, so I imagine it will continue getting worse.

I would imagine the dentist's office would call me if I need to re-schedule.

Can you even imagine having to work in peoples' mouths at this time?  YIKES!

@chickenbutt  As I mentioned, in my case, my appointment for dental cleaning was as 10:00 this morning.  At 8:00, the hygienist called me to let me know of the alert they got from the FDA. From what she said, it was largely because of the ultrasonic cleaning, from which is there is considerable spray.  At least that's what I understood her to say.  She couldn't talk long because she had other calls to make.  I told her I'd call back after all this and reschedule, though knowing my dentist's office, they'll probably call me first.

@Kachina624

I’m seeing my dermatologist tomorrow for a procedure to remove a pre-cancerous spot on my back. The biopsy described it as “severe” so I’ve decided to keep the appointment.  Since it’s on my back, no one will be breathing in my face, and I really want to get this over with.

I wish you well tomorrow and speedy healing afterward.

Just saw your second post - good luck on Wednesday!

Our dentist sent out an email today saying they were closing for 2 weeks, effective immediately, based on instructions from the Virginia Dental Association. She will treat patients with emergencies, telling us to text her if necessary.
