FedEx is beyond me.  They are a disaster on wheels.  Any delivery problems I ever had.....it's FedEx.  But most business use them.  I guess they're cheap.  Anyway, most places you can't request a certain carrier.

We get all our cat food, toys, etc from Amazon. We get it fast and none of the boxes are broken etc.  The bulk of our deliveries are from Amazon.

@Spurt  Fedex Ground has a different CEO. They're even headquartered in Pennsylvania and not at the usual headquarters in Memphis Tennessee... It's unclear to me how much connection there is between the various tentacles of this company but there must be capacity that would permit the parent company to protect their image, though as far as I'm concerned, that ship has sailed...

As for Smith, I wish him good luck in getting rid of Snyder... As for the name change, it doesn't really get my vote, but it was only a matter of time, especially in today's world... I only hope they come up with something neat that appeals to the fans and the region and a stupid knee jerk reaction doesn't prevail saddling the team with something just oh so 'meaningful' that makes them more of a laughing stock than they already are... I suspect you'll get my drift... While I'm not a fan, I still find it extremely unfortunate that their field carries the Fedex name... I get that they want to move the team back to the city and hope they can do so... This time around, hopefully saner heads will prevail and they'll build a truly state of the art stadium instead of that thing they rushed to put up in Landover, of all places...

Wow. I have never had one problem with Fedex. USPS is a long wait from QVC anyway & UPS has been good most of the time. Maybe it depends what town or city you live in.

@Spurt  Petsmart employees tend to be helpful, but it's sporadic and though I haven't been in the store in months, I wasn't feeling the love the last few times I was in there. I've also noted some stocking problems, though it's a hundred times better than it used to be. Petco is no longer much competition here. They more or less went to selling all 'health' sorts of pet foods and no longer have the more run of the mill brands, while Petsmart and Chewy offer a far wider variety. We too have a third store that is very good, wide variety and always well stocked, but it's not really close and I only tend to go to it when I'm in the neighborhood running a variety of errands, which I haven't been doing at all since the world, as we knew it, decided to stand still. Regardless, I've been getting all my food and supplement needs met by either Chewy or Amazon and appreciate having things delivered to me. I've also gotten some foods and treats delivered as part of my grocery store deliveries and deliveries from Target.

@stevieb

I also appreciate things delivered to me...

Yep, Petco is unique in that respect regarding healthy food,  but a lot of people are feeding their pets more of these brands that the Vets recommend these days instead of "grocery store or regular national brands", and Petco does have UNhealthy treats 😸, litter, and pet accessories, as well as grooming for dogs......

Last I looked, PetSmart doesn't carry the brand of food my Sambo likes.  Now his brother Houdini would eat anything and everything he can get his paws on, but Sambo only wants Beef flavor and even gets picky between brands.  Not many brands at all seem to make a Beef flavor.  For him, I use canned food as his reward for taking his asthma medicine.  Also, Petco lets me refill the litter canisters at a bit of a discount over buying a pre-filled one.

See I learned something new ......didnt know Fed Ex Ground had a different CEO.....

As for the name---it was sad to see that Snyder succombed to the PC crowd, but he wants a new stadium so he chose to play along...... But reading some of the name options....I SHUDDER to think....One option in particular has a double-entendre ---especially in view of other events that went on within the organization if you get my drift...  Woman Tongue I wonder if the powers that be will even think of that....Oh well........I'll keep my fingers crossed they make a good choice regarding the name!!! ...

I'm sad my NBA Spurs stadium carries the name of AT&T epsecially in view of the issues I had to personally deal with and spent 3 1/2 hours on the phone trying to get it resolved....who knew one of the supposedly big technology companies was so short sighted and incompetent....but thats another story for another day....Woman Frustrated  Remember the good ole days when big companies with big reputations were run competently and offered good customer service.....SIGH!

@Spurt  I despise that stadiums, etc. are named commercially... Then again, given these times... I shudder to think what some of them would be named (or renamed...) were they named in honor of alleged personages... As for the new team name, I don't know the one you have in mind, but there's one that's been floated around here and was being pushed by a certain cadre... that as far as I'm concerned is absolutely indefensible and would make the team the butt... of still more jokes. On the other hand, the WFT is pretty much lacking... Of course, the team names in the nation's qwapital are pretty uninspired across the board... Think about it: Nats, Caps, Wiz and Skins...

Yes those stadium names..😏..and look what commercialism has done to the College Football Bowl Games....some sound just downright ridiculous..Do you think we will ever see Qurate Stadium...or the Qurate Bowl????? 😄😆🤣

Yep, your area team names do "stink"..(I mean before the Wizards it was the BULLETS--say what?!?!?!?) Well the Texas teams stuck with the western/cowboy theme or aerospace industry...but how original is the TEXANS---but that's "H Town" for you....SMH!

Now just transpose a couple letters of WFT and its pretty appropiate 😉😄......I think we are on the same wavelength about one of candidates for the new name....and "butt" of jokes is right...🙄

A few days ago I ordered a couple of items from Amazon.  One was a face masque (as oppsed to a face covering) and the other the now old version of the Foodi Grill.  Both were expected to be deliviered today.  The Face masque was delivered yesterday by the guy in the big brown truck.  But, my Foodi Grill was delivered today by the mail person.  I really would've expected something that large and heavy to be delivered either by UPS, FedX, or the Amazon delivery truck I see driving around town now instead of the mail.  I feel kinda bad for the nice lady who brought it across my yard in the rain to my front door.  I say nice lady because she's very friendly and we're always waving or speaking to each other.

Well at least the PO was able to make a few dollars by delivering this item for you.

I read the other day that Amazon had terminated a bunch of delivery contracts and were re-thinking how things would be delivered.

@debfau

Gee isn't Bezos making enough money already 🙄 Whatever he does I'm sure he will pass on the costs to the Prime members....And some of his ideas like hiring independent contractors for Amazon deliveries hasn't worked out, they've taken photos to confirm the item was delivered and then came back and STOLE that same package and the customer's security systems have caught them.....I'd stick with UPS, Fed Ex or USPS if I was him....

This is one of the reasons that I try not to order from them when I can help it--just because I can't handle the stress anymore of wondering whether or not my package is going to be stolen again.

If I can get the same thing elsewhere, that's what I'm doing.
