I was glad to read she reconsidered. I saw a news story about her visit to the Grand Canyon with her family last week and didn't understand why she'd kill herself on Saturday when she seemed still able to enjoy life. It would be great if she could get some experimental treatment that could prolong her life.

She said she had two seizures after the Grand Canyon and couldn't say her husbands name right away when she came to.

I totally agree it is her choice and what ever she decides my thoughts are with her. maybe she is not in a lot of pain so she is going to give her self more time. What a horrible thing to have to go through at her young age. May God bless her and be with her always.

I am very very happy to read that she has changed her mind. She made the right choice in doing so.

Yes, it is her choice.....and she probably just isn't ready yet....... Sometimes things are easier said than done......

My heart goes out to her, her dear husband, and her family and friends.........Am sure she is a blessing in their lives..........

God be with them all and lift them up as high as they can go........

This should be a choice we all should have without having to move to another state at the end of our life.

Maybe I missed something but I didn't think this young woman was changing her mind about anything other than the date. The original date was chosen based on her doctor's assessment and her husband's birthday.

Sadly, her condition will deteriorate, more than likely, quickly. {#emotions_dlg.sad}

That's the way I took it too........

It could be the date is what caused her to change it......Personally, I think that would be way to hard for that young man to take........

They reported on this last week when she was here for a Grand Canyon visit with her family. She looked pretty well, enjoyed the visit and it was reported that she has the medication to end her life when she wishes. With that in hand I believe she will continue to enjoy her remaining days until she feels she no longer can continue & will say her goodbyes, as it should be.
