Nearly all of our travel is planned. When the pretty colors start to appear in fall, we might take a weekend drive to the shore of Lake Michigan or go up to Door County, WI for the day. If a hotel stay is needed, I book far in advance.

Since I am older and retired now everything is planned. I like the day trips offered by our senior center where the day is planned out and I don't have to think about driving or parking.

I'm a spur of the moment non-planner type personality but my SO is a Type A plan everything down to the last detail person. Yikes!
