I don't need ANY "salesman" giving me "a message".  That ain't his job.  Just get on with the "schpeil".

@Cats3000, of course they are salespeople. But do they need to shed every bit of themselves when they walk on stage? They're not robots.

When I taught adults, my mission was to make sure that they learned what they needed. But I did so with my personality and heart quite intact.

Aren’t there entire shows with a “find your happy” theme? I’m pretty sure that they want you to purchase the merchandise in order to get happy.

Re: David' Venable's Message to Us

David's a nice man so I certainly don't begrudge him this.   You know, I'm not a very emotional person so a lot of this stuff just doesn't appeal to me but I do know that it gives a little comfort to some, so what's the harm?

David and I have the same birthday ('cept he's 10yrs younger), and I always thought that was fun, but I also always saw the lovely gentleman that he is.  No harm, no foul.  Smiley Happy

TV programming needs a total overhaul --- it's become SO depressing - same negative, violent stories on most channels. I've also tuned in more to QVC to cheer me up. People are fed up with these talking heads on most channels telling us how to feel, how we should speak, what we should believe. Americans are still FREE - and we use our own minds to think.
