He makes his living signing autographs at fairs now.... enough money to pay for his booze I guess. Somehow he pays the fine to stay out of jail until his next court date.... or until he KILLS SOMEONE..... Like father like son. His father was a drunk who committed suicide. Better himself than some poor innocent victim.

Jack Cassidy was also dx'd with being bipolar and he died in an accidental fire.

That's what I thought. Accidental fire. I think it was caused by a cigarette.

Sorry I was wrong on that...I believe his drinking lead to him dying in the fire though.

Re: David Cassidy at it again...

I've known my share of alcoholics and they do have lucid moments.

I think I read, a while back, that Dr Drew stopped doing the 'celeb rehab' shows after so many deaths and such. I could be wrong, though. Smiley Happy

How many times does this make? Is he trying to set some record? What irritates me is I don't understand why they don't just revoke his driver's license. Make him walk or get a driver. He clearly has a problem, is being irresponsible, and he will end up killing innocent people. I don't care if he was a teen heart throb once upon a time, he is just a careless drunk right now.

I find that frustrating, too, Jules. They need to take away his license before he kills someone.

Re: David Cassidy at it again...

UPDATE: The star's manager and publicist, Jo-Ann Geffen, tells ET, "David just completed a stint in rehab and was doing very well in sobriety. He was in Los Angeles to attend depositions by Sony Pictures Television, respondents in a lawsuit filed by Cassidy in 2011 over what he claims are monies long due him from Partridge Family merchandise, home video, etc. After attending his and his manager’s depositions, it appears as if the pressure led to a brief relapse. He was on his way to the airport to return to his home in Florida and to transitional rehabilitation. He plans now to return to rehab in an undisclosed facility."

He clearly has serious problems. This was on RadarO

Aww, good deal! I hope he does well.

He's like most - a FUNCTIONING alcoholic. So, he CAN make better choices. But, even more important, some of the choices like driving while drinking are pretty easy to change. If one doesn't, at some point, somebody gets hurt/killed. Often it's an innocent person or persons in the wrong place at the wrong time. That's what bothers me.
