How sad!
Good-bye, David.
Thank-you for all of the smiles that you gave us.
Your pain is at an end now.
May you rest in peace.

I am sorry to hear that David's condition has taken a turn for the worse. So many we have grown up with and lost in the past couple of years.
I am sad that David has alzheimer's and that he had a severe alcoholic problem in the past. I think David always wanted to stay that famous character on TV in the Partridge Family and never move on from that time, but that is not real life. Prayers for David and his family.

This one was posted by the Glen Campbell site. It's David and Glen doing Everly Brothers. Probably from Glen's TV show or most likely when he subbed for the Smothers Brothers.
i really enjoyed that video! thanks for sharing.

it is one of my greatest fears, even worse than cancer. It just seeems like modern medicine has hit a wall with no new treatments or innovations in sight.
One of my dearest and oldest friends, my roommate from college, had/has both. She was diagnosed with breast cancer, went through radiation and chemo and at the same time she has short term dementia with the prospect of it becoming Alzheimer's in the future. It's a frightening prospect that we all fear, but have no power to stop, really. My friend has no dementia in her family that she knows of. I have had several friends who have had brain tumors as well. They didn't survive. I keep wondering if Seattle has a higher percentage of brain cancer than other places, or if our state of the art medicine is better at determining it sooner. I do know that Seattle has a very high incident rate of Multiple Sclerosis cases. Some feel that it's the lack of Vitamin D in a climate that gets less sunshine. Who knows. We're all in jeopardy of the roulette wheel and our genetics.

I believe his father, Jack Cassidy, also had alcohol problems. Sometimes that is inherited, or the propensity toward it.

May God welcome him into heaven.

Oh gosh, I didn't know he was that young when he passed.

I didn't realize Jack was that young either.
I knew his children with Shirley Jones were young but didn't realize.

David looked just like his father, Jack. As we say in the south...."Jack spit David right outta his mouth".
