My teenage heartthrob is gone, a part of my youth. 😭 like thousands of other girls, I was going to marry him.
Coincidentally, my husband found the boxes of our old vinyl records the other day, and there among them are my Partridge Family, Monkees, Bobby Sherman, and all my Elton John albums. I told my husband I wanted record album frames for all of them. Yep.
I am am very sad tonight, but David is no longer in pain. RIP😘
My sentiments exactly. A part of my youth is gone. Bobby Sherman was my favorite, but I also loved David Cassidy. He was so cute!
It is so sad that he had such a troubled life after the Partridge Family. It is well known that child actors often have difficulty when the spotlight fades. Although I wouldn't characterize David Cassidy as a child actor, he was certainly young and it seems that his post-Partridge Family career was difficult. When you combine that with addiction issues and a family history of dementia, that is a tough road to travel. I feel sad for his family and friends, but I'm glad he is no longer suffering.

I've never heard or read anything suggesting that David was bipolar.
@Noel7Where did you hear/read he was bipolar?

Yes, his Mother and his grandfather also had dementia. He had a horror of getting to the point his Mother did.

Okay - if so, that was his father - not David.

I’m not the one who said it. I’m not going to debate the point. I did google and as far as has been publicly stated I have seen nothing that said David was.

I saw it on facebook and cried my eyes out and got out my 45s (yes at this hour) and put them on with headphones. Condolences to his family. SO sad :-(
I saw him live with my cousin back in the 70s. I still have the pictures and I will never forget that concert!. (My cousin passed out from the heat). I watched the Partridge Family too of course, and had all of his posters. He was my first celebrity crush.
(Every time someone from my youth dies I feel like another piece of my youth died too!).
