The lady who died was known by all as "Dave's Mom", so, like some other reports, that's how I referred to her.

I was sad for the Letterman family when I saw the headline this morning. She came across as a genuine sweetheart. I enjoyed her episodes very much and the flustered way she'd say "oh, Daa-vid."

I felt sad for them, also. At least Dave's son got to know her, that's nice.

She did say his name that way 😊

Always enjoyed "Dave's Mom" when he had her on. You could tell there was a genuine love between them. Am sure he loved her pies.....and will miss them. Know he will miss here a whole bunch.....

Had many laughs when they were on, and especially when David would try to guess what the pie was......

edited to say: Living to 95 is wonderful......a nice long life.

I agree, you could see the love between Dave and his mom, he treated her so gently. She would stand up to him for something he said and he would just chuckle.
