She was known simply as Dave's Mom and she was a sweetheart who loved to bake pies.

Dave had her report on the winter Olympics and interview Hillary.  She did it all with grace and a lovely smile.

The Huffington Post has a collection of clips today featuring Mom.

IMO she embodied what I thought of as the Midwest.  Everything about her house, her kitchen and her pies fit in with what I imagine there, so homey 😊
