I love Jr. and am happy for him. I always wondered if he had a girlfriend or anything because he is one that never really discussed his personal life much, which I completely understand not doing. Some things should be kept private. Regardless of what many on these forums think, not everything has  to be shared with the world just because you are in the limelight. Good for him!

His sister is his gatekeeper. There was a 6 episode series on ESPN about his life off the track. He is the love child of Gomer Pyle and Forrest Gump, so he needs someone to make sure he doesn't get taken. Kelly approves all women and all friendships as well as all business stuff.  (Ndamukan Suh's sister is his gatekeeper, too, for the same reasons).

I am sure that Kelly had to approve the proposal, too.

I was surprised he went to Germany without Kelly, but she was there after all.  LOL  

That podcast with him mom is flat out hilarious.  She is a hoot.

He told a story recently about finally getting this adult tree house kit to build his own tree house on his property. Kelly wouldn't let him have it because she was afraid he and his friends would get too roudy and fall out of the tree and hurt themselves. He can have it now because he's matured. I love him.

Thanks for posting this VaBelle!  I don't follow NASCAR but really enjoyed reading the articles that came up about his engagement.  They are a lovely couple!

Congrats to Dale and Amy.  He turned 40 this year so I guess he thought it's about time.  I enjoy watching NASCAR and JR is one of my favorite drivers.  He's so cool IMHO.
