Hello my friends! It is so good to see this working again today - I tried so many times, and kept getting that critical notice - then found more couldn't get on either. So guess it means patience - I didn't call there, just waited and this morning it worked! Today we got an answer to prayers, we got the money from a CD refill now, that will help pay what we owed in a business expense. It was very scary not knowing where the money would come - but trusting in God to provide and your prayers, He listened to you and us, and gave us our need! Thanks be to God and thanks to you who prayed! With a heavy heart we found out that my husband's nephew and wife are split up and she's filing for divorce!! What a shock! They've been married 18 years and 3 kids. Oldest graduated from high school last year. Lori talked to Chuck over an hour last night - he confides in her and helps him just being there for him. He's back living with his Mom. Please would you pray for them? There's always something to pray about!

Love people so much that you will do all that you can to lessen their

human sorrows. Lord, You have shown Your love for me. May I

now radiate Your presence to others.

Meditation for the day:

In all of us there is an inner consciousness that tells of God, an

inner voice that speaks to our hearts. It is a voice that speaks to us

intimately, personally, in a time of quiet mediation. It is like a

lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. We can reach out into the

darkness and figuratively touch the hand of God. Deep down inside

each of us is the fundamental idea of God. We can find this great reality

deep down within us. And as we find it, it can change our whole

attitude toward life.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may follow the leading of the inner voice. I pray that

I may not turn a deaf ear to the urging of my conscience.

Don't let go of hope.

Hope gives you the strength to keep

going when you feel like giving up.

Don't ever quit believing in yourself.

As long as you believe you can,

you will have a reason for trying.

Don't let anyone hold your

happiness in their hands;

hold it in yours, so it will always

be within you reach.

Don't measure success or failure by

material wealth, but by how you feel;

our feelings determine the richness

of our lives.

The Power of Prayer

The day was long, the burden I had

borne

Seemed heavier than I could longer

And then it lifted-but I did not know

Some one had knelt in prayer.

Had taken me to God that very hour,

And asked the easing of the load, and

In infinite compassion, had stooped

And taken it from me.

We cannot tell how often as we pray

The answers comes, but many times

When you thought I wasn't looking, by a Child

A message every parent should read, because your children are watching

and doing as you do, not as you say.

"When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you hang my first painting

on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you feed a stray cat, and I

learned that it was good to be kind to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make my favorite cake for

me and I learned that little things can be the special things in life.

When you though I wasn't looking, I heard you say a prayer, and I knew

there is a God I could always talk to and I learned to trust in God.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you make a meal and take it

to a friend who was sick, and I learned that we all have to help take

care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw you give of your time and

money to help people who had nothing and I learned that those who have

something should give to those who don't.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I felt you kiss me good night and I

felt loved and safe.

When you though I wasn't looking, I saw you take care of our house and

everyone in it and I learned we have to take care of what we are

given.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw how you handled your

responsibilities, even when you didn't feel good and I learned that I

would have to be responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw tears come from your eyes and

I learned that sometimes things hurt, but its all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I saw that you cared and I wanted

to be everything that I could be.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I learned most of life's lessons

that I need to know to be good and productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking, I looked at you and wanted to say,

'Thanks for all the things I saw when you thought I wasn't looking.'"

Each of us - parent, grandparent or friend - influence the life of a

child

Prayer For Relieving Stress And Anxiety

Lord, there has been too much change in my life recently, and I feel

overwhelmed. Because I try to be a responsible person, I sometimes forget

that it is unwise for me to allow my sense of duty to override my common

sense.

Lord, help me to allow myself more time to rest, relax, and pray. Guide me

toward something spiritual to read every day and a quiet time afterwards to

reflect on what I have read and how it pertains to my life. I truly want to

simplify my life and live more as Christ did. Help me remember that there

is no loss or problem I must face alone. You are always near, with Your

love and compassion to comfort me. Amen.
