Daily Positive Thread for Wednesday

To be successful in the projects you undertake today, you must believe in
yourself and your abilities even if you are walking on new ground. Lord,
guide me in my endeavors and open my mind to new solutions if things
aren't going as I have planned.

Scripture for the day:

"Make me to know your ways, O LORD; teach me your paths. Lead me in
your truth, and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you
I wait all day long." ~Psalm 25:4-5

Meditation for the day:

There is much beauty in a God-guided life. There is wonder in the
feeling of being led by God. We can try to realize God's bounty and
goodness more and more. God is planning for us. God's ways are
wonderful. They are beyond our knowledge. But God's leading can
enter our consciousness more and more, and bring us ever more peace
and joy. Our lives are being blessed by God. We can count all
material things as loss if they prevent us from winning our way to the
consciousness of
God's guidance.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may earn the rewards of God's power and peace. I pray
that I may develop my awareness of being led by God.

Hello my friends! My blessings today are many - took time to relax in the
patio - watching the birds, found out that my God-daughter offered to take
us to the airport when we leave for Texas so we don't have to have a motel
the night before. Saves us money and we can visit her. Even though it's
late coming back around midnight, she is willing to pick us up at the
airport! So Lori cancelled the reservation. It's March yet but our trees
are budding and for MN that's really early so I do hope we don't get a frost
yet. Here's hoping your Wednesday is blessed in all that you do.

Joyful praise in Lent?
I'm not sure I always feel that.
I ask you to help me prepare to understand
and embrace the paschal mystery in my life.
I don't always see the beauty and mystery
of this season
and often I run from the pain.
Help me to see how your saving grace
and your loving touch in my life
can fill me with joyful praise of the salvation
you have sent to me.

Come to our aid, Lord God, that we may walk courageously in that love of
which your Son gave proof when he handed himself over to death out of love
for the world.

In our hearts, O God, you have written a covenant of grace, sealed by the
obedience of Jesus your Son.
Raise us up with Christ, the grain fallen to earth that yields a harvest of
everlasting life.

Bring us to glorify your name by following faithfully where he has led.

We ask this through Christ, our deliverance and hope, who lives and reigns
with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, holy and mighty God for ever and
ever.

WHEN I PRAY THE LORD'S PRAYER:

I cannot say OUR if I am selfish and do not think of others.
I cannot say FATHER if I do not treat my parents with respect.
I cannot say WHOM ART IN HEAVEN if all I care about are material things.
I cannot say HALLOWED BE THY NAME if I do not say the Lord's name with
reverence.
I cannot say THY KINGDOM COME, THY WILL BE DONE if I am more interested in
the things my own way.
I cannot say ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN if I am not ready to do His will
here on earth.

I cannot say GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD without being willing to share
what I have with others.
I cannot say FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS
AGAINST US if I hold grudges and will not forgive others.
I cannot say DELIVER US FROM EVIL if I am not willing to walk away from
those things that are wrong and ask the Lord's help through prayer.

I cannot say THINE IS THE KINGDOM if I am not willing to accept God as a
Ruler of my Life.
I cannot say THINE IS THE POWER if I do not remember that my gifts and
talents come from God not from myself.
I cannot say THINE IS THE GLORY if I only seek my own glory and recognition.
I cannot say FOREVER AND EVER if I am only interested in what is happening
in my life right now.
I cannot say AMEN unless I can say "WHATEVER HAPPENS IN MY LIFE, THIS MY
PRAYER."

May the Good Lord bless and keep you.
May His love shine upon you.
May He hold you in the palm of His hand.

(The Lord's Prayer can be found in the bible in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke
11:2-4.)

Be sure to watch for the ordinary blessings we usually just take for granted
and thank Him!
