Hello my friends!! What a rainy day we have again, and it doesn't seem to let up! Let us praise and thank our Lord for rainy days, too, because we do know the Sun will come out sometime and warm us here! Our grass is so nice and green now - just wish we would have had our garden in already. Lori leaves tonight for her Seminar - so now I have both Ollie and Phoebe here for six days, but they aren't any bother. Phoebe is now jumping on my lap and purring! Animals are blessings - I can't get over how changed Ollie is now - he's much more content and not so demanding all the time like he used to be. He's getting older! He likes to sit by me too, and lean his head on my lap. May God bless you all with all your needs!
There is never a wrong time to do something good. Lord, I will show my
gratitude for my many blessings by using them to bring joy to others.
Scripture for the day:
"Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my help and my God."
~Psalm 42:5-6
Meditation for the day:
Not what we do so much as what we are, that is the miracle-working power.
We can be a force for good, with God's help. God is here to help us and to
bless us, here to be with us. We can be workers with God. Changed by God's
grace, we can shed one garment of the spirit for a better one. In time, we
can throw that one aside for yet a finer one. And so from character to
character, we can be gradually transformed.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may accept every challenge. I pray that each acceptance of a
challenge may make me grow into a better person.
The Spiritual life is life drawn from the Holy Spirit, who raised Jesus from
the dead and turns the whole world into a new creation.
The Spirit within you will bear fruit of simplicity and goodness, modesty
and joy, sobriety and gentleness. He will give you interior freedom and
bring your love to perfection. He will make you into a new man.
God's Spirit will bring you to simplicity in an undivided dedication to Him
and to your fellowmen. He gives you no program but the chance of turning
yourself towards love hour by hour. And so spiritual life is not a burden
but a liberating vocation. It is much more a matter of simplifying than of
complicated methods and extraordinary performances.

peace in my troubles , light in my doubts ,defense in my dangers ,help in
my needs .
Be therefore my refuge my strength , my consolation O Mary Consoler .
At the hour of my death , graciously receive the last beats of my heart,
and obtain for me a place in that heavenly country, where as one , all
hearts shall praise forever the adorable Heart of Jesus , with your
most lovable Heart , O Mary , my Mother, Consoler of the Afflicted , pray
for us , who have recourse to you
Sayings of Mother Teresa
Jesus came amongst his own and his own received him not
He knew suffering and loneliness.
He knows your pain, Bruised, divided, full of pain and wounds as you are,
accept Jesus as he comes into your life
and recognize him when once more he comes in his distressing disguise.
Be not afraid in your suffering.
God loves you. As miserable, weak and sinful as we are.
He loves us with an infinitely faithful and forgiving love.
A LOVE STORY
Author Unknown
Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived;
Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all the others, including Love. One
day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all
repaired their boats and left.
Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment. When the
island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was
passing
by Love in a grand boat. Love said "Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of silver in my boat.
There is no place here for you."
Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful
vessel.
"Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you Love. You are all wet and
might damage my boat," Vanity answered.
Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness, let me go with
you."
"Oh....Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself."
Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she did not
even hear when Love called her!
Suddenly there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you." It was an
elder.
Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that he even forgot to ask the
elder his name. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went his own way.
Love realizing how much he owed the elder, asked Knowledge, another
elder.
"Who helped me?" "It was Time," Knowledge answered. "Time?" asked
Love.
"But why did Time help me?" Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and
answered,
"Because, only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is."
There's work to do, deadlines to meet, you've got no time to spare,
but as you hurry and scurry, always say a prayer.
In the midst of family chaos, "quality time" is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest: always say a prayer.
It may seem like your worries are more than you can bear.
Slow down and take a breather, always say a prayer.
God knows how stressful life is; He wants to ease our cares,
and He'll respond A.S.A.P; Always Say A Prayer!
If you can't feel positive - and sometimes that happens to all of us, Ask
God to put you there - Ask Him to be with you and know that He is.

Hi Cakers thanks for the advice about the lozenges, I did find them on a place that I usually buy my vitamins from called Swanson, and Amazon also has them but they are a little more expensive then so I ordered them from Swanson. I really should have looked for a store locator on their web site, but live and learn. I will look in Walgreens too, it's better than paying shipping. thanks again.
Counting my Blessings.

Good Afternoon Everyone.......
Just stopping by to say hi and thank everyone again for their prayers. Tomorrow is the doctor appointment for DH, which hopefully should give us an idea of what route to take in this fight.
Gloriajean.......I, too, am an animal lover and have always felt that if humans were as kind, loving and compassionate as animals, what a wonderful world we would live in. I also feel that my love of animals may stem from the fact that I was born on the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Praying for your dear niece to return to the family.
I did peek in on the prayer thread that did get a little heated. I stay away from those threads since there are usually one or two posters who tend to lose track of the true meaning of one's religions or beliefs. That is to be kind, caring and most of all tolerant of others' traditions and beliefs or interpretations. Sometimes it becomes a "mine is better than yours". No where is it stated that we must all believe the same thing with absolutely no room for even the tiniest of discussions. Best to avoid them.
Again, thank you everyone for thinking of my DH. Hopefully I can report back with some good news or at least with a way to handle this situation.

wildcat fan - Welcome to our thread!!! So nice to see you here and hope you come back! So happy you found some positive thoughts of value.
Harlene - glad you're getting the cough drops now - I just got mine today in the mail! I think I bought a life's supply!! I got the cherry and the regular. I did try to find Vicks in town, but couldn't find any.
Bobbiesue - blessings to you, too dear. Hope you can get some relief from COPD. Daily you are in my prayers for healing.
Cakers - I would gladly send you some rain for some sunshine!! It's cold here.
shoreline - I'll remember your husband in prayer especially tomorrow. May God's Holy Spirit be with you both and bring you good news - all according to His Holy Will, I pray. We have three animals here right now for six days while my daughter, Lori, is on a Seminar for her Massage business. Her cat, Phoebe, who loves me, and her dog, Ollie, a rat terrier she got from the humane society two years ago. And my Sammy seems ok with the company! Sammy is 10 now - arthritis in his left leg - so he's not as fast as he used to be, but sometimes you'd never know it! Smart to stay away from those threads, you are right, I just couldn't let lies be told there so I stepped in. At least I spoke up and it's done and I'm not going back.

Gloria, it is a rainy very blustery day here and although I took my daily walk, I was happy to get home and make a nice hot cup of tea. We still have a few days of bad weather left until we see all the spring flowers blooming....
Prayers going out for Shorelady's husband that tomorrow goes well and a successful course of treatment will heal him. Felicia, I hope you are feeling better. Bobbisue, hope your COPD is getting better. Here is hoping that everyone who posts here has a beautiful day...
