Our body is the temple of God and our soul is His image. It is the devil's
work to make us forget that and feel useless, incapable and worthless.
Lord, I will not deny Your existence in me. I am strong and capable
because You live and work through me.

"In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not
so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take
you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also." ~John
14:2-3

We can look at the world as our Father's house. We can think of all
people we meet as guests in our Fathers house, to be treated with love
and consideration. We can look at ourselves as servants in our
Father's house, as servants of all. We can think of no work as
beneath us. We can be ready to do all we can for others who need our
help. There is gladness in God's service. There is much satisfaction
in serving the highest that we know. We can express our love for God
in service to all
who are living with us in our Father's house.

I pray that I may serve others out of gratitude to God. I pray that
my work may be a small repayment for God's grace so freely given me.
Hello my friends! How was your day? I slept a lot today - I was so tired after yesterday and I was up this morning at 3 getting my list out, and staying up until he left for work, then I went back to bed again! Sometimes I just have to get my naps in and get the sleep I missed! Linus had a good day - although he was exhausted! His knee didn't bother him today. Tomorrow and Wed. he works at noon to 8:30 - so after that he's off until next Monday. I wrote an email to the Nurse Practitioner he went to asking if it's ok if he has the cinnamon with a tsp. of honey and hot water, and it's fine. I also set up another appt. for him the first week in April to see how things are - plus one for me too for the blood check.
I like it when they just p rick my finger and right away I get the results. He gets blood drawn from his arm, and gets the results in a week. My blessings are that I can sleep - and wish that Darla could. She called tonight - I talked to her and now she's talking to her Dad! Such a blessing to talk to her - it's so nice out there!

Be Faithful As He Is Faithful
by Monsignor Dennis Clark, Ph.D.
Tobit 1:3; 2:1-8 / Mk 12:1-12
One of the most important instincts that our Creator built into every one of us is the instinct for self-preservation. And serving that instinct is a complex alarm system whereby pain causes us to flee danger. Our hands might easily have got cooked a dozen times long before we reached adulthood if there were no pain attached to holding them in a fire. And we might easily have poisoned ourselves many times over if certain substances didn’t taste so bad and cause us to vomit.
Pain avoidance is a major factor in keeping us alive and healthy, whatever our age. And yet, sometimes it can work against us. Flight from pain, discomfort, inconvenience or danger can subvert and undercut what is best and most noble about us, and can deter us from the great deeds to which we are called.
In today’s Old Testament reading, we have the witness of Tobit, a man of noble heart, who refused to be deterred by danger as he strove to walk in the Lord’s ways. His friends ridiculed him. “Will you never learn?” they asked as he once again risked trouble in order to give some poor soul a decent burial. His answer, spoken in deeds, was that cowardice was a lesson he’d never learn!
It is a fact of life that none of us can escape those kinds of challenges, though they are unlikely to be so dramatic. If we are to live up to God’s dreams for us, if we are to be faithful to God’s gifts to us, there will always be a price to be paid. Don’t be afraid of it, and don’t turn away. The good Lord who asks this of you will always give you what you need. He is faithful. May we be faithful too.

Sayings of Mother Teresa
Jesus came amongst his own and his own received him not
He knew suffering and loneliness.
He knows your pain, Bruised, divided, full of pain and wounds as you are,
accept Jesus as he comes into your life
and recognize him when once more he comes in his distressing disguise.
Be not afraid in your suffering.
God loves you. As miserable, weak and sinful as we are.
He loves us with an infinitely faithful and forgiving love.
How To Carry Your Burden
A monarch of long ago had twin sons. There was some confusion about
which one was born first. As they grew to young manhood, the king
sought a fair way to designate one of them as crown prince. All who
knew the young men thought them equal in intelligence, wit,
personal charm, health, and physical strength. Being a keenly
observant king, he thought he detected a trait in one which was not
shared by the other.
Calling them to his council chamber one day, he said, "My sons, the
day will come when one of you must succeed me as king. The burdens
of sovereignty are very heavy. To find out which of you is better
able to bear them cheerfully, I am sending you together to a far
corner of the kingdom. One of my advisors there will place equal
burdens on your shoulders. My crown will one day go to the one who
first returns bearing his burden like a king should."
In a spirit of friendly competition, the brothers set out together.
Soon they overtook an aged woman struggling under a burden that
seemed far too heavy for her frail body. One of the boys suggested
that they stop to help her. The other protested: "We have a burden
of our own to worry about. Let us be on our way."
The objector hurried on while the other stayed behind to give aid
to the aged woman. Along the road, from day to day, he found others
who also needed help. A blind man took him miles out of his way,
and a lame man slowed him to a cripple's walk.
Eventually he did reach his father's advisor, where he secured his
own burden and started home with it safely on his shoulders. When
he arrived at the palace, his brother met him at the gate, and
greeted him with dismay. He said, "I don't understand. I told our
father the burden was too heavy to carry. However did you do it?"
The future king replied thoughtfully, "I suppose when I helped
others carry their burdens, I found the strength to carry my own."

Closing prayers:
O my God, at the end of this day I thank You most heartily for all the graces I have received from You. I am sorry that I have not made a better use of them. I am sorry for all the sins I have committed against You. Forgive me, O my God, and graciously protect me this night. Blessed Virgin Mary, my dear heavenly mother, take me under your protection. St. Joseph, my dear Guardian Angel, and all you saints of God, pray for me. Sweet Jesus, have pity on all poor sinners, and save them from h ell. Have mercy on the suffering souls in purgatory... (followed by an Act of Contrition)
Act of Contrition:
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of h ell, but most of all because they offend you, my God, who are all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of your grace, to confess my sins, to do penance and to amend my life.
Prayer to the Holy Spirit:
Breathe into me Holy Spirit, That all my thoughts may be holy. Move in me, Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Attract my heart, Holy Spirit, that I may love only what is holy. Strengthen me, Holy Spirit, that I may defend all that is holy. Protect me, Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy.
Good night everyone - Sweet Dreams and here's hoping you all have a great Tuesday filled with many blessings all throughout the day! Enjoy the Gift of God's Day! Praying for you all!
