If you want peace and goodness in your life you must be kind and loving.
Lord, may I avoid creating misery so that my life will reflect my love for
You.
Scripture for the day:
"My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it
nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces
endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature
and complete, lacking in nothing." ~James 1:2-4
Meditation for the day:
As we look back over our lives, it is not too difficult to see that what we
went through was for a purpose and helped to prepare us for some valuable
work in life. Everything in our lives can help make us of some use in the
world. Each person's life is like the pattern of a mosaic. Each thing that
happens to us is like one tiny stone in the mosaic, and each tiny stone fits
into the perfected pattern of the mosaic of our life, which has been
designed by God.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may not need to see the whole design of my life. I pray that
I may trust the Designer.
Hello my friends! I slept the day away today - woke up with the sniffles -
that Alka Seltzer Plus put me to sleep and did what it was supposed to do,
and I feel cleared up now! Praise the Lord! My eyes were hurting from
wiping them so much, now everything is fine. I plan to do some reading yet
tonight - we should read a couple chapters of the book for the book club on
Wednesday. We have a library at our Church too, that people donated books
for, as did we, so he picked out a couple for us to read also. No TV on all
Lent, nice and quiet, and reading is in! TV can be so noisy. I got a
special blessing this afternoon when I woke up and came to the computer to
see that my niece sent me the picture Joe took of Mary, the Blessed Virgin,
when she appeared to him in October. It came in an attachment and I printed
it for us, and sent it to friends and family. It also was a blessing to get
the rest I needed to feel better! Phone didn't ring, no telemarketers - a
blessing! Then Sammy let me know when it was time to get up and let him
out, an hour before Linus came home from work! Still a bit tired, so don't
think I'll have a hard time sleeping tonight too.
Lord,
your commandment of love is so simple
and so challenging.
Help me to let go of my pride,
to be humble in my penance.
I want only to live the way you ask me to love,
to love the way you ask me to live.
I ask this through your son, Jesus,
who stands at my side
today and always.

Listen to your heartbeat
A nurse on the pediatric ward, before listening to the little ones' chests,
would plug the stethoscope into their ears and let them listen to their own
hearts. Their eyes would always light up with awe. But she never got a
response to equal four-year-old Johnny's...
Gently she tucked the stethoscope in his ears and placed the disk over his
heart. "Listen," she said, "What do you suppose that is?"
He drew his eyebrows together in a puzzled line and looked up as if lost in
the mystery of the strange tap-tap-tapping deep in his chest. Then his face
broke out in a wondrous grin. "Is that Jesus knocking?"
RULES FROM GOD
Author Unknown
1. Wake Up !!
Decide to have a good day.
'Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in
it' Psalms 118:24
2. Dress Up !!
The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an
inexpensive way to improve your looks.
'The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at
outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart.' I Samuel 16:7
3 Shut Up!!
Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one
mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as
talking.
'He who guards his lips guards his soul.' Proverbs 13:3
4. Stand Up!!...
For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for
anything..
'Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will
reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have
opportunity, let us do good...' Galatians 6:9-10
5. Look Up !!...
To the Lord.
'I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.' Philippians
4:13
6. Reach Up !!...
For something higher.
'Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own
understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct
your path.' Proverbs 3:5-6
7. Lift Up !!...
Your Prayers.
'Do not worry about anything; Instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING.'
Philippians 4:6
I thought this was mighty special, just like you.
Pass this on and brighten someone's day, and remember:
God answers Knee-Mail.
