Re: Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Hello Everyone!

I spent the morning going through the spare bedroom closet where all of the decorations, and a few extra pictures and such are stored. Three and a half hours later, the job is done, as well as the dresser in that room pared down as well. Some of these pieces were sentimental, so were hard to figure out who to give them to. I was relieved DH was on board with letting everything go that I'd weeded out. I think I'll always enjoy changing things in our home, but now on a bit smaller scale.

Harlene: I haven't heard my mom or dad call to me since they passed, but I dream about my mom pretty often at times. My dad, far less so. I did start to dream much more often about work, something my mother had done often since she had retired years ago. It happened recently, and after being very upset I'd missed the quality checks I was supposed to have done in the dream, I somehow was half awake and remembered I was retired! I have no more checks to do! lol What a dork I can be sometimes....

Lucy: Hope your daughter has as easy a time as possible, and gets a few pain pills if she needs them. Great message that you posted!

Gloria: Your explanation sounds good to me about why I'd hear my family call at times. The graphics are very pretty that you posted! Hope Linus doesn't over do it at work. I'm glad he enjoys both the work and coworkers.

Not much planned for this afternoon. I have some of the prep done for supper, and I'm glad to be ahead a bit as this morning wore me out. Time to lie down for awhile and take a break. Have a good afternoon everyone! Hugs, pinky

Edited to say hello to Naes! Hope you'll find lots of inspiration here, and it's so nice to see your post today!

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Hello To All!

I've been feeling stronger and doing my organizing and de-cluttering that I've had on the back burner so-to-speak. Been getting adjusted to having my husband home with me now as he retired from his job. I feel so very blessed he was able to do what he did and has done without any dangerous obstacles that may have occurred. Well, at least he didn't share them with me. Started up another season with my volunteer work and so far it's been very enjoyable.

I am so very grateful for this nation, her people, her strength, her allies, her resilience, and her generosity. We have mercy, compassion, empathy, strength. We exhibit these qualities because we are a very blessed and special nation to our creator and most of all, we are very fortunate to be living in the here and the now. I give thanks for you here on this forum whether you post or just read. We all matter. I believe we all matter for the best of reasons. Be at peace and know you are loved.

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Tuesday

Pinky Ann - that's where I store our Christmas stuff too, guest bedroom closet, wrapping paper, ribbons etc. Today I continued to organize - this time my plants, my asparagus ferns were not liking indoors, and were showing me their disgust with yellowing vines etc. so I spent lots of time in trimming them all, also the fern, and putting some of that stuff I got from the Q years ago called - Spray and Grow. Only I didn't spray, I poured. Hope they don't mind. So I rearranged them and it looks nicer now. I have a blue pinsetter that Lori gave me that I put in the dining area now, it was over by the west window, it's more noticeable now. Linus takes pride in watering the plants weekly, but I trim them when needed. Maybe in a week, I'll spray some of that spray and grow on it again, this time spraying. Started reading some old magazines to throw out later too. Two issues of The Word Among us has very good stuff in it, one issue is for Lent. That should be great!! So glad I get that magazine - it's so worth having.

Love Roses - So glad you are feeling stronger now, and de-cluttering is what I've been doing now too. That's so wonderful that you and your husband can spend more time together now - adjustment, yes, but a good one. That's great that you enjoy your volunteer work! You do keep busy!
