Hello dear friends! Well, today we had another beautiful summer day! Wonderful in the Patio and outside. Doggie Day Care here all day for Ollie as Lori didn't have time to come home for lunch and right after work she's off to a study club. So he'll be here until after 8 sometime. At least then we get to see her!!! He's been good, I cannot complain. He isn't so energetic as he used to be when he wore us out! Now he rests a lot, and I think he's used to that being she works all day. So that's a blessing I can share that he's being a good doggie, and that Linus had a good day at work, and when he told them he was wearing out, he doesn't have to go in until 11 now for the next few days. In the morning I have dentist appt. for a cleaning. Always never look forward to that, so that's how my day starts tomorrow. Friday night we're taking Father Jerry out for dinner for his Jubilee gift from us. Looking forward to this. He is such a blessing to us and so many other people.
God gives us power, love and self-discipline, not fear and timidness.
Lord, I will not be afraid to proclaim that You are my God. All will
see it in my actions.

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the
mountains shake in the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and
foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult." ~Psalm 46:1-3

We can constantly claim God's strength. Once convinced of the right of
a course of action, once reasonably sure of God's guidance, we can claim
that strength. We can claim all the strength we need to meet any
situation. We can claim a new supply when our own supply is exhausted.
We have a right to claim it and we can use this right. A beggar
supplicates, a son appropriates. When we supplicate, we can be kept
waiting, but when we appropriate God's strength in a good cause, we can
have it at once.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may claim God's strength whenever I need it. I pray that
I may try to live as a child of God.
Food for Thought:
WHAT IS FAITH?
By Max Lucado
Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that
something is real even if we do not see it...it is by faith we
understand that the whole world was made by God's command so that what
we see was made by something that cannot be seen...without faith no
one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that He is
real and that He rewards those who truly find Him. (Hebrews 11:1,3,6)
Faith is the belief that God is real and that God is good...it is a
choice to believe that the One who made it all hasn't left it all and
that He still sends light into the shadows and responds to gestures of
faith.
Faith is belief that God will do what is right.
God says that the more helpless your circumstances, the more likely
your salvation. The greater your cares, the more genuine your prayers.
The darker the room, the greater need for light.
God's help is near and always available, but it is only given to those
who seek it.
"Father, help us renew our commitment to You, to release everything
and to be owned and possessed by You. We long to submit ourselves to
You that we might know the Holy freedom available to us only through
Your grace."
Personal Prayer
Let your blessing be upon us, Lord.
Reach out to us today in blessing, that we may be fruitful.
We speak of lifting up our hearts, because the joy of faith increases our
vision and enlarges our hopes.
Draw our hearts and minds upwards, so that even in the busyness of our
everyday life, we may aim higher, and seek your inspiration.
The Be-Attitudes
Be understanding to your perceived enemies.
Be loyal to your friends.
Be strong enough to face the world each day.
Be weak enough to know you cannot do everything alone.
Be generous to those who need your help.
Be frugal with that you need yourself.
Be wise enough to know that you do not know everything.
Be foolish enough to believe in miracles.
Be willing to share your joys.
Be willing to share the sorrows of others.
Be a leader when you see a path others have missed.
Be a follower when you are shrouded by the mists of uncertainty.
Be first to congratulate an opponent who succeeds.
Be last to criticize a colleague who fails.
Be sure where your next step will fall, so that you will not tumble.
Be sure of your final destination, in case you are going the wrong way.
Be loving to those who love you.
Be loving to those who do not love you; they may change.
Above all, be yourself.

THE LOVE OF GOD
We can talk an hour about it, but not have it.
No vessel can contain it all.
No tongue can explain it all.
It is only explained by living it, and retained by giving it.
When we share it, then we have more than we had;
Withhold it and we have less.
It has no competitors or equals.
Death cannot claim it, but only proclaim it.
Persecution only brings it to the surface.
It turns every experience into a privilege.
It works best under pressure.
It has no faults or failures.
It can turn every living sacrifice into a reasonable service. It has been
cradled in a manger, crucified on a cross, resurrected from a tomb, and
carried into heaven.
I admire it in others, I desire it from others, I require it for others,
but I can only acquire it from God.
HEALED AND WHOLE
One day I dug a little hole,
and put my hurt inside
I thought that I could just forget
I'd put it there to hide.
But that little hurt began to grow,
I covered it every day
I couldn't leave it and go on
It seemed the price I had to pay.
My joy was gone,
my heart was sad,
pain was all I knew.
My wounded soul enveloped me
Loving seemed too hard to do.
One day, while standing by my hole,
I cried to God above
And said, "If You are really there,
They say, You're a God of Love!"
And just like that,
He was right there,
And just put His arms around me
He wiped my tears,
his hurting child there was no safer place to be.
I told Him all about my hurt,
I opened up my heart
He listened to each and every word
to every sordid part.
I dug down deep and got my hurt
I brushed the dirt away
And placed it in the Master's hand
and healing came that day.
He took the blackness of my soul
and set my spirit FREE!
Something beautiful began to grow
where the hurt used to be.
And when I look at what has grown
Out of my tears and pain
I remember every day
to give my hurts to GOD
And never bury them again.
Have faith in our Loving God.
There is nothing in this world
too big for our LORD.
May GOD bless you each and every one.
