We can show God that we truly love Him by the way we speak and live.
May I be inspiring, Lord, and may everyone that I meet find You.
Scripture for the day:
"Be still and know that I am God." ~Psalm 46:10
Meditation for the day:
I can try to keep my life calm and unruffled. This is my great task, to
find peace and acquire serenity. I need not harbor disturbing thoughts.
No matter what fears, worries and resentments I may have, I can try to think
of constructive things until calmness comes. Only when I am calm can I act
as a channel for God's spirit.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may build up instead of tearing down. I pray that I may be
constructive and not destructive.
Hello my friends! "May I be inspiring, Lord, and may everyone that I meet find You." That I pray very sincerely. To find God and to live as He intends for us to live, by showing Him our love by the way we speak and live, keeping His Commandments, showing love to one another by kind words and deeds - uplifting one another and being charitable, all leads to living a very happy life! Happiness is having Him Who is our Almighty God live within us and dwell in our hearts. He never leaves us - only when we don't want Him, He won't force us to love Him. Jesus, Who died for us all on the Cross, Who's Name is most powerful, have mercy upon us. Today we went to a funeral - saw people we haven't seen in years! He used to be a neighbor of my husbands growing up. Younger than we are, died of a heart attack - it can happen to any of us, so it's always best to live each day in Grace as the last day of our lives because we never know. My 3 blessings today: 1) visited with an old friend, and invited her here next Tuesday - we'll pick her up and bring her back - she's never seen our house and we live here almost 10 years, it's just a half hour drive. 2) Visiting with the wife of the man who died, she used to be best friends with my husband's sister, 3) my oldest sister called and it's always a joy to talk to her. Praying for all of you and thanks for your prayers for us.
The No Make-Up Friend
A quick shower, and …uh-oh, it was already time for my guest to
arrive.
“Well, no time for make-up now, “ I said, out loud, to myself. Then,
“That’s OK. It’s Sandy; it’ll be all right.”
It’s OK to be ourselves with a good friend. In fact, it is a great
blessing. You don’t have to worry about putting your best foot
forward, or trying to win them over. It is comfortable to ‘just be
yourself.’
I saw a sticker the other day that said, ‘Jesus is my best friend’.
How about, “Jesus is my ‘no make-up friend’ ”.
It’s true: there’s nothing you can do, and nothing you cannot do, that
would change the love of God for you. He can never love you less, and
never love you more. He just loves you. That’s it; He loves you.
God IS love. And He loves you. Just the way you are. Make-up, or no
make-up. That’s good news.
Bending Our Will
Lent is a time when we can shatter the deceptions of Satan by holding fast to the righteousness of Christ. Lent is a time for seeing that all of creation is good for guiding us to a greater knowledge of God.
— from The Little Way of Lent
Your work today
Is anyone happier because you passed this way?
Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today?
Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that is slipping fast,
That you helped a single person of the many that you passed ?
Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said?
Does the man whose hopes were fading, now in courage look ahead?
Did you leave a trail of kindness or a scar of discontent?
As you close your eyes in slumber, do you think that God will say,
You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today.

Prayer Found Under Christ's Sepulchre 1503AD
O God Almighty, who suffered death upon the cross, particularly for my sins, be with me.
Holy Cross of Jesus - have pity on me.
Holy Cross of Jesus - be my protector.
Holy Cross of Jesus - take away all bitter pains.
Holy Cross of Jesus - take away all evil.
Holy Cross of Jesus - let me walk in the way of salvation.
Preserve me from any temporal accidents, take away any danger of sudden death. I always adore the Holy Cross of Jesus Christ: Jesus of Nazareth crucified, have pity on me; make the spirit of evil leave me for all times. O Mother of Perpetual Succour. I come before Thy Sacred picture and with a child-like conscience invoke thine aid. Show Thyself a Mother to me now. Have pity of me. O, dearest Mother of Perpetual Succour, for the love Thou bearest to Jesus and in honor of His Sacred Wounds, help me in this my necessity. mention specific intent
O Loving Mother, I leave is all to thee in the Name of the Father. I leave all to Thee in the Name of the Son. I leave all to Thee in the Name of the Holy Spirit.
Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, pray for us.
Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, pray for us.
Our Lady of Perpetual Succour, pray for us.
Amen.
Reforming Our Lives
MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA
Holiness is not the luxury of the few but a simple duty for you and me, so let us be holy as our Father in heaven is holy. Saint Thomas says: "Sanctity consists in nothing else but a firm resolve" - the heroic act of a soul abandoning itself to God.
Our progress in holiness depends on God and on ourselves - on God's grace and on our will to be holy. We must have a real living determination to reach holiness. "I will be a saint" means I will despoil myself of all that is not God, I will strip my heart of all created things, I will live in poverty and detachment, I will renounce my will, my inclinations, my whims and fancies, and make myself a willing slave to the will of God.
Give yourself fully to God. He will use you to accomplish great things on the condition that you believe much more in his love than in your weakness.
Saint Augustine says: "Fill yourselves first and then only will you be able to give to others." If we really want God to fill us, we must empty ourselves through humility of all that is selfishness in us.
We must not attempt to control God's actions. We must not count the stages in the journey he would have us make. We must not desire a clear perception of our advance along the road, nor know precisely where we are on the way of holiness.
