Daily Positive Thread for Sunday

Jesus is the greatest giver of happiness that anyone has ever known.

Take Him into your heart. Lord, Your presence in my life brings me

great joy.

Scripture for the day:

"If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you

wish, and it will be done for you." ~John 15:7

Meditation for the day:

"Ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." God has

unlimited power. There is no limit to what God's power can do in

human hearts. We can will to have God's power and we can ask God for

it. God's power can be blocked by our indifference to it. We can go

along our own selfish way without calling on God's help, and we

receive no power. But when we trust in God, we can will to have the

power we need. When we sincerely ask God for it, we can receive it

abundantly.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may will to have God's power. I pray that I may keep

praying for the strength I need.

Greetings to all my friends! Today was just an ordinary day - but full of blessings anyway, ordinary day blessings are always wonderful! Very grateful for my dear husband, my daughters, my sisters, and all God gives me to love, and Sammy! Very grateful for our Church Community - for the opportunity of going to Mass daily when we can, and the friendship of our priests. God is good, God is always there for us - like the Scripture of the Day "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish and it will be done for you." From John.

Praying for all of you and thanks for your prayers for us and Ron who will have his surgery on Monday. Pray for no cancer. Linus is getting his colonoscopy done Tuesday, pray for no cancer or anything serious there too!!

Gifts

~~~~~
Not more of light I ask, O God,
But eyes to see what is;
Not sweeter songs,
But ears to hear these melodies;
Not more of strength,
But how to use the power that I possess;
Not more of love,
But skill to turn a frown into a caress;
Not more of joy,
But how to feel its kindly presence near;
To give to others all I have,
Of courage and of cheer.
No other gifts, dear God, I ask,
But only sense to see;
How best to use these precious gifts;
Thou hast bestowed on me.
CROWN OF THORNS PRAYER
DEAR LORD, I am grieved when I consider Thy sad condition when Thou wore the Crown of Thorns upon Thy hold Head. I desire to withdraw the thorns by offering to the Eternal Father the merits of Thy Wounds for the salvation of sinners. I wish to unite my actions to the merits of Thy Most Holy Crown, so that they may gain many merits, as Thou hast promised. Amen.
"Jesus may Your pure and healthy blood circulate in my poor ailing organism, and may Your Pure and Healthy Body transform my weak unhealthy body, and may a healthy and vigorous life flow once again within me, if it is truly Your holy will". Amen
