Weeds grow easily, but flowers need care and nurturing to bloom.
Lord, may I turn away from evil and tenderly encourage the goodness
that comes my way so that I, too, may blossom.

Scripture for the day:

"When you are offering your gift at the altar, if you remember that
your brother or sister has something against you, leave your gift
there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother or
sister, and then come and offer your gift." ~Matthew 5:23-24

Meditation for the day:

"First be reconciled to your brother or sister and then come and offer
your gift." First we can get right with other people and then we can
get right with God. If we hold a resentment against someone, which we
find it very difficult to overcome, we can try to put something else
constructive into our minds. We can pray for the one against whom we
hold the resentment. We can put that person in God's hands and let
God show them the way to live. "Those who say, 'I love God,' and hate
their brothers or sisters, are liars; for those who do not love a brother or
sister whom they have seen, cannot love God whom they have not seen."

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may see something good in every person, even one I
dislike, and that I may let God develop the good in that person.

Hello my friends! Today was a beautiful day - first nice one all week and
very nice out in the patio. Linus had to work, he really needs to get out
of that job and into that appliance job God willing! He has his new
schedule now and he's working every Sunday all thru June, and he doesn't
like that - at that appliance job they are closed on Sundays - we like to
go to our Church on Sundays, now we have to go to the Cathedral Sunday
nights, it's fine there, but we miss our Parish. Our priests are leaving
the end of June too, and we get two new ones, so it'd be nice to stay in our
own Church. We keep on praying that he gets that appliance job soon so he
can give his notice at Northern Tool. I just know he'll love it and he
won't be so worn out. So we continue to pray for that blessing - all
according to God's Holy Will. His will is always the best for us so we
abide by that. The new stores are open now so we hope and pray it won't be
long. Thank you all who are praying for this intention of ours - we
appreciate it so much! Today was just an ordinary day for me - but with
beautiful weather. Sammy and I walked around the yard (Linus' kingdom) and
saw that it won't be long and we'll have raspberries, and strawberries,
didn't see any blueberries on yet, lots of beautiful flowers are blooming.
Last night I picked some more lettuce, spinned it after washing, and it
looks like we won't have to buy lettuce for a long time now. Praise God for
gardens!

INSTALLING LOVE

Tech Support: Yes, Ma'am.... how can I help you?


Customer: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to install
Love. Can you guide me though the process?


Tech Support: Yes. I can help you. Are you ready to proceed?


Customer: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready. What do
I do first?


Tech Support: The first step is to open your Heart. Have you located
your Heart, ma'am?


Customer: Yes, but there are several other programs running now. Is it
okay to install Love while they are running?


Tech Support: What programs are running, ma'am?


Customer: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and
Resentment running right now.


Tech Support: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from
your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory,
but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually
override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-
Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and
Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed.
Can you turn those off, ma'am?


Customer: I don't know how to turn them off. Can you tell me how?


Tech Support : With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke
Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and
Resentment have been completely erased.


Customer: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself. Is that
normal?


Tech Support: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program.
You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the
upgrades.


Customer: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, "Error -
Program not run on external components ." What should I do?


Tech Support: Don't worry, ma'am. It means that the Love program is
set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your
Heart. In non- technical terms, it simply means you have to Love
yourself before you can Love others.


Customer: So, what should I do?


Tech Support: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following
files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your
Limitations.


Customer: Okay, done.


Tech Support: Now, copy them to the "My Heart" directory. The system
will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty
programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all
directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely
gone and never comes back.


Customer: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is
playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves
all over My Heart. Is this normal?


Tech Support: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually
everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and
running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure
to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in
turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.


Customer: Thank you, God.

A Random Act of Kindness
I was a traveling nurse (just recently stopped) and one of the most
wonderful times in my life was when I was driving north for Christmas....I
found a $20 bill and decided to put it to use....

I paid for tolls for the people behind me and with that act of
kindness--many smiles were brought to others faces as well as mine...some
people caught up with me and waved thank you, some had cars full of kids and
presents and the waves made my day...so random acts of kindness are
wonderful and brought smiles to many people that day...the most fun was
trying to get the toll takers to do it...they looked at me as if I had lost
my mind when I said--I would like to pay the toll for the 3 people behind
me...

But some of them really got into it...it is a special memory and one I hold
in my heart every day.....

Why are you angry?


Anger is about the silliest thing that we let ourselves fall into. It is
also the bitterest root in our heart. If we truly look into our heart most
of the time that anger is out of jealousy because someone else was righteous
and we fell short. Just as God asked Cain, "If you do what is right, will
you not be accepted." Cain was angry out of his own guilt. Sometimes we use
anger to make others pay for what have done or failed to do.


Gen 4:6-7

6 Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?

7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do
what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but
you must master it."


* We are not thankful for what we have until we are willing to give it away
to someone that needs it more than we do.

Oh yes! It really does!

No, not always, but it does change the way you look at those events.

daily needs.

Does prayer change shattered hearts or broken bodies?
No, not always, but it will change your source of strength and comfort.

Does prayer change your wants and desires?
No, not always, but it will change your wants into what God desires!

Does prayer change how you view the world?
No, not always, but it will change whose eyes you see the world through.

Does prayer change your regrets from the past?
No, not always, but it will change your hopes for the future!

Does prayer change the people around you?
No, not always, but it will change you~the problem isn't always in
others.

Does prayer change your life in ways you can't explain?
Oh, yes, always! And it will change you from the inside out!

So does prayer REALLY change ANYTHING?
Yes! It REALLY does change EVERYTHING!
