Hello my friends! Well today I've been busy all day almost at the computer working on my list of about 200 members. I'm trying to put the list on Gmail, and so today I've been entering everyone on the list on Gmail, and putting them in the categories that they signed up for. Not done yet. Just wonder if it'll go well on gmail. Nadine does hers on Gmail all the time and she's encouraging me. I don't know yet how to delete a contract, or if someone wants off a particular category, I don't know how yet to get them off it. I'm not going to use it until I have everything straight in my mind. Anyway it's a back up for when charter gets bad with seems to be more often than not. And Msn is good, but it has a limit. Gmail doesn't. Actually I worked so hard on it today, and I'm scared to use it!!! In time, I will. Linus racked the wine today - it tastes pretty good! We don't have to add anything, but we'll wait for Lori to come to help bottling it. In Texas I found some corks at Target so bought some. Nadine found Jesus Calling on line, and she is now emailing it to me so I don't have to type it out. You've had the one for today last night, so tomorrow night will be the one for the 4th. I'm putting it on my list, too, so far I have about 14 sign-ups for it - so - Jesus is calling! I'm taking a break now from the list, and it feels good! The list is over 12 years old, I've mentioned before, and some of the members are with it since the very beginning! I never thought it would last that long. But guess Our Lord wants it to continue. Tomorrow is the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus. I'll post a prayer for that tonight. Praying for all of you - every day! Hope your New Year is going right!
Faith is what lifts me to the level of possibility and opens the door
to God's promises. Lord, continue to strengthen my belief and bless
me with unyielding faith.

"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens,
and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me;
for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." ~Matthew
11:28-30

I can believe that fundamentally all is well. Good things can happen
to me. I believe that God cares for me and will provide for me. I
need not try to plan ahead. I know that the way will unfold, step by
step. I can leave tomorrow's burden to God, because God is the great
burden-bearer. God only expects me to carry my one-day's share.
P R A Y E R F O R T H E D A Y
I pray that I may not try to carry the burden of the universe on my
shoulders. I pray that I may be satisfied to do my share each day.
Start The New Year Out Right
Every once in awhile something really nice crosses your computer screen...like this..... Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.
No one can go back and make a brand new start. Anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.
Disappointments are like road bumps, they slow you down a bit but you enjoy the smooth road afterwards.
Don't stay on the bumps too long. Move on!
When you feel down because you didn't get what you want, just sit tight and be happy, because God has thought of something better to give you.
When something happens to you, good or bad, consider what it means. There's a purpose to life's events, to teach you how to laugh more or not to cry too hard.
You can't make someone love you, all you can do is be someone who can be loved, the rest is up to the person to realize your worth.
It's better to lose your pride to the one you love, than to lose the one you love because of pride.
We spend too much time looking for the right person to love or finding fault with those we already love, when instead we should be perfecting the love we give.
Never abandon an old friend. You will never find one who can take his place. Friendship is like wine, it gets better as it grows older.
Pass it on to your friends . . .
I Am There
You cannot see Me,
yet I am the Light you see by.
You cannot hear Me,
yet I speak through your voice.
You cannot feel Me,
yet I am the power at work in your hands.
I am at work
though you do not understand My ways.
I am at work
though you do not recognize My works.
I am not strange visions,
I am not mysteries...
only in absolute stillness beyond self
can you know Me as I am
and then but as a feeling and a faith.
Yet, I am there. Yet I hear.
Yet I answer.
When you need Me, I am there.
Even if you deny Me, I am there.
Even when you feel most alone, I am there.
Even in your fears, I am there.
Even in your pain, I am there.
I am there when you pray
and when you do not pray.
I am in you
you are in Me.
I am the law
on which the movement of the stars
and the growth of living cells are founded.
I am the love
that is law's fulfilling.
I am assurance.
I am peace.
I am openness.
I am the law
that you live by.
I am the love
that you cling to.
I am your assurance.
I am your peace.
I am one with you.
Beloved , I am there.

I Am The New Year
I am the new year. I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.
I am your next chance at the art of living.
I am your opportunity to practice what you have learned
about life during the last twelve months.
All that you sought and didn't find is hidden in me,
waiting for you to search it out with more determination.
All the good that you tried for and didn't achieve is mine
to grant when you have fewer conflicting desires.
All that you dreamed but didn't dare to do,
all that you hoped but did not will,
all the faith that you claimed but did not have -
these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened by
the touch of a strong purpose.
I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance
to Him who said, "Behold, I make all things new."
I am the new year.

Prayer for the Feast of the Holy Name of Jesus
Lord Jesus, we humbly pray You to give us all a great reverence and respect for Your most holy name. Forgive us for ever having used the name of Jesus in vain, or without due respect.
Help us remember how reverently and lovingly Your Mother Mary used the name of Jesus, and how humbly Saint Joseph called You and spoke to You by name.
Your name, dear Jesus, is above every other name in heaven or on earth, because You are the Jesus, the Savior of all men. You have saved us, and You have told us to ask God anything in Your name, and it would be granted.
We ask You, humbly and confidently, to bless us and our work, and give us the rich treasures of Your divine grace, without which we cannot even so much as pronounce the name of Jesus. Amen.
