God values us so much that He gave us all that He has; His Son Jesus.
Show that you value Him, too, by putting Him first in all aspects of your
life. Lord, when I put You first in my life, order and peace follow.
Scripture for the day:
"Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am languishing; O LORD, heal me, for my
bones are shaking with terror. My soul also is struck with terror, while
you, O LORD--how long? Turn, O LORD, save my life; deliver me for the sake
of your steadfast love." ~Psalm 6:2-4
Meditation for the day:
I believe that all sacrifice and all suffering is of value to me. When I am
in pain, I am often tested. Can I trust in God, not matter how I feel? Can
I say, "Your will be done," no matter how much I am defeated? If I can do
these things, my faith is real and practical. It can work in bad times as
well as in good times. God's will can work in a way that is beyond my
finite mind to understand, but I can still trust in it.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that I may take my suffering in my stride. I pray that I may accept
pain and defeat as they come, and grow spiritually as I receive God's
strength to make it through.
Hello my friends! We're having some company for cards over tonight so
thought I'd get this thread out first rather than later. This couple is
from our Parish and the ones who really welcomed us here when we first came
8 years ago. She is a quilter - she has a lot of beautiful quilts to show
and one is being auctioned off at our Parish Silent Auction next Saturday.
Such talent!! Her basement has lots of cupboards and they are full of her
supplies for quilting, plus a big room for her do her quilt stands. My Mom
used to quilt - my sisters too, not me. I'd help my Mom sometimes, though.
Now-a-days they have quilting machines - and are they ever expensive!! Her
daughter in law has one. My blessings today are a nice surprise - a good
possibility of a new job for my dear husband. He heard this place was
looking for an experienced salesperson for selling appliances, and that is
his first love - the store he worked at first for over 5 years selling
appliances is out of business now, he learned a lot thru there, and he knows
someone there who used to work at the other store, who respects him a lot,
and so he called over there to speak to Perry, and Perry told him to come
right in - so he did, he got there, and Perry introduced him to one owner,
and he had a very nice visit with him, and he'll meet with the other owner
next week - and that one is from our old small town we moved from, we played
Volleyball with his parents!! He felt very good over there, and it's only
appliances - not furniture, and he can sit down. So that's a great blessing
if he gets the job - could you all say a prayer he gets the job for sure?
The hours would be just right, full days, but he can sit and not be on his
feet all day - maybe 2 or 3 days a week. They close Saturdays at 2 PM, and
are not open Sundays. This is great!!! He told them he can start March
15th if they want him. Another blessing is that this couple can make it
tonight at short notice - after Mass this morning walking out of Church I
asked her, and she said they had nothing on for tonight - and we bought some
good Black Forest chocolate cake and snacks so I don't have to bake. Hope
you all have a nice evening - I know we will.
Whisper Jesus
Today I got a burden,
And I felt that I should pray
For God's spirit seemed to tell me,
That you were having a bad day.
I don't know what the problem is,
But I sure do know the cure
And if you'll only let Him
God will keep you safe and secure.
In life there's always problems
Cropping up to spoil our day
But my friend you know the answer
All you have to do is pray.
If you still feel you're defeated
And you want to run and hide
Just reach out and I'll be there
Standing right there by your side.
So remember, Whisper Jesus,
For He's just a prayer away,
He's so close that you can touch Him
All you have to do is pray.

Change Me
Dear Lord change not Thy will in my life,
Or trial and sorrows to be;
Renew my faith and make me strong,
Change not Thy will, change me.
Though teardrops fall when trouble comes,
Like storms on a rolling sea;
Let Thy beacon guide my ship to port,
Change not the storm, change me.
When Thy Holy Word I don't understand
And Thy glory I cannot see;
Teach my eyes, give me sight and wisdom,
Change not Thy Word, change me.
If the fruit Thou hast given me to eat,
Taste bitter and sour, I plea;
Let not my will but Thine be done,
Change not the fruit, change me.
If sometime I murmur and grumble, dear Lord,
About the cross I carry for Thee;
Keep it firm on my shoulders, but hold my hand,
Change not the cross, change me.
If You change Thy ways to please me, dear Lord,
I would soon grow cold and turn from Thee;
That You may hear my prayers, dear Lord,
Change not Thy ways, change me.
There's a valley that I must cross,
Someday Thy face to see;
Lest I forget what power is Thine,
Change not the valley, change me.

The Prayer That Changes Everything
Do you know anyone who would love you enough to lay down their life for you?
Someone who would die in your place? Someone who would pay the penalty in
their body and person for your mistakes and sins? Some who would take the
fall for you? Suffer what you deserve? And do it willingly? All the while
knowing that at anytime he could stand up and say, "Forget this. Send in
the angels. I'm out of here."
I know of only one who would do that for me. And He already did it. That
really takes the pressure off my family and close friends.
If you can't think of anyone who would die to save you, think again. God
sent His only Son, Jesus, "the image of the invisible God" (Col 1:15), the
manifestation of Himself in the flesh. He came. He taught. He displayed
His power in the miracles He worked. He laid down His life in unimaginable
suffering and torture and an agonizing death by crucifixion on a cross in
order to bear all the consequences for our errors, failures, and mistakes.
And then He rose from the dead and forever broke the power of death and h ell
in our lives.

Dear Lord,
Our relationship with you is usually like this:
Just another day for me - plenty of things to do
Go to work, come home late, nothing really new
Sat in bed put my head to rest grabbed my mobile phone
About to call my girlfriend now to tell her I loved her so
But before I had the chance to phone I received an incoming call
I had to look twice at the Caller ID to see if I was sure
It was a friend of mine his name was John an odd call at this time
We haven´t spoken for years, busy I guess, we're all guilty of this crime
What does he want? I thought to myself, a favour he must need
So I answered the phone and said hello, the rest I'll let you read
Minutes went by, no favour so far, maybe I could be wrong
But there it was - the favour he needs - I knew it all along
That´s the reason why he called me today - I guess we all do the same
Its only when we need something that we look to find their name
That´s the relationship we have with God - sad but it is true
We have to change the way we think - a message for me and you.
A Moment’s Breathing Prayer
Surrender to God’s help by breathing in God’s healing power ... extend
inhalation. Receive God’s peace by exhaling all worries and stress – extend
exhalation.
Breath in what I need from God
Breathe out impurities that harm my soul
Breathe in God’s love
Breathe out any self hatred
Breathe in God’s forgiveness
Breathe out self hurt
Breathe in God’s peace
Breathe out anxiety
Breathe in Jesus’ compassion
Breathe out my pride
Breathe in God’s confidence
Breathe out my doubts and uncertainties
Breathe in God’s clarity
Breathe out confusion
Breathe in God’s peace
Breathe out my fears
Breathe in peace ..... exhale
Breathe in peace ..... exhale
Breathe in peace ..... exhale.
