Re: Daily Positive Thread for Pentecost Sunday

Hi Gloria. I found this .....

<h4>IS IT COVERED?</h4>

Medicare does not cover cosmetic surgery. Unless a benign skin lesion is a threat to the patient’s health or function, its removal isn’t considered medically necessary. Medicare reimburses skin tag, seborrheic keratosis, wart and flat wart removal only if they are bleeding, painful, very pruritic, inflamed or possibly malignant. Treatment of molluscum and pre-malignant lesions such as actinic keratosis are covered. It is best to document both the patient’s symptoms and your physical findings to avoid denials.

So if it is painful, it is covered. The issue is that your doctor's office CODED it wrong with insufficient information. It has to be submitted with the right code and a lot of offices mess up.

Have a wonderful rest of the evening!Smile

Re: Daily Positive Thread for Pentecost Sunday

Hello friends i havent been on for awhile because of my illness. I had to have a 2nd ct scan because my first one they could not get the contrast in. I have a MRI tomorrow and i dont know what it feels like but i asked for sedation because its 90 minutes long you cant move a muscle and there is 6 inches between you and the machine. I have no idea what it feels like. So thats why i have been away but i have been away. But i have been reading and praying and thinking of you all! Felicia
