Hello my friends! Hope your all have had a good Pentecost Sunday! Father Mark talked on praying to God asking Him what He wants us to do with our life, now, what He plans for us, and that doesn't meant stopping asking even at 110 years of age. He'll let you know what He wants you do do for Him before you die. He talked about St. Therese, the Little Flower, ever hear of her? You can look her up on the internet, I'm sure. She offered up little things that came her way for LOVE. She's do things for others, and offer it up to Jesus, little things that are everyday life, and just offer them up to Jesus. All her works were merits, and so can ours be too, by offering them all up to Jesus. My blessings today was our Pentecost Mass, with Father Mark's homily - I'll miss him this week because he's going fishing for the week up north! What a wonderful Pastor to our Parish. Know that you all are in my daily prayers. ((((shorelady)))) (((((go2girl)))) and all!
God knows what is best for you in all matters of your life. Rely on His
wisdom.
Lord, I place my trust in You because You answer every prayer.
Scripture for the day:
"He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my
feet upon a rock, making my steps secure." ~Psalm 40:2
Meditation for the day:
"He drew me up from the desolate pit, out of the miry bog, and set my
feet upon a rock, making my steps secure." The first part, "He
brought me up out of a horrible pit," means that by turning to God and
putting my problems in God's hands, I am able to overcome my sins and
temptations. "He set my feet upon a rock" means that when I trust God
in all things, I have true security." He makes my steps secure,"
means that if I honestly try to live the way God wants me to live, I
will have God's guidance in my daily living.
Prayer for the day:
I pray that my feet may be set upon a rock. I pray that I may rely on
God to guide my comings and goings.
What if,
GOD couldn't take the time to bless us today because
we couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?
What if,
GOD decided to stop leading us tomorrow because
we didn't follow Him today?
What if,
we never saw another flower bloom because
we grumbled when GOD sent the rain?
What if,
GOD didn't walk with us today because
we failed to recognize it as His day?
What if,
GOD took away the Bible tomorrow because
we would not read it today?
What if,
GOD took away His message because
we failed to listen to the messenger?
What if,
GOD didn't send His only begotten Son because
He wanted us to be prepared to pay the price for sin.
What if,
the door of the church was closed because
we did not open the door of our heart?
What if,
GOD stopped loving and caring for us because
we failed to love and care for others?
What if,
GOD would not hear us today because
we would not listen to Him yesterday?
What if,
GOD answered our prayers the way
we answer His call to service?
What if,
GOD met our needs the way
we give Him our lives???

Want it more than anything.
Xccelerate your efforts.
You are unique, nothing can replace you.
Zero in on your target, and go for it!!
A Prayer is Something We Give
A prayer is something we give to God
When we want to say Hi.
It's also how we ask for things
When we wish, hope, or cry.
A prayer is something we give ourselves
To ease our troubled mind.
It helps to know we have the ear
Of someone very kind.
A prayer is something we give to friends,
Family, and strangers too.
Prayer is always the answer to
"Is there anything I can do?"
So take the time to pray today
It doesn't matter from whom.
Peace of mind is moments away.
So get to praying soon!

Pentecost Prayers
God our Father, let the Spirit you sent on your Church to begin the teaching
of the gospel continue to work in the world through the hearts of all who
believe. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and
reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Father of light, from whom every good gift comes, send your Spirit into our
lives with the power of a mighty wind, and by the flame of your wisdom open
the horizons of our minds. Loosen our tongues to sing your praise in words
beyond the power of speech, for without your Spirit man could never raise
his voice in words of peace or announce the truth that Jesus is Lord, who
lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
O Holy Spirit of God, abide with us
Prayer by John Baillie
O Holy Spirit of God, abide with us;
inspire all our thoughts;
pervade our imaginations;
suggest all our decisions;
order all our doings.
Be with us in our silence and in our speech,
in our haste and in our leisure,
in company and in solitude,
in the freshness of the morning and
in the weariness of the evening;
and give us grace at all times humbly to rejoice
in Thy mysterious companionship.
Meditations by Padre Pio
Valiantly fight temptations with strong souls, and fight along with the
Supreme Chief. When you fall, do not stay there prostrated in body and
spirit. Humble yourself greatly but without being discouraged. Lower
yourself without degrading yourself. Wash your imperfections and falls with
sincere tears of contrition, without lacking trust in divine goodness, which
will always be greater than your ingratitude. Propose to make amends without
being presumptuous, but your strength must be in God alone. Finally, confess
sincerely that if God were not your beast-plate and shield, you would be
imprudently pierced with every kind of sin (Letters III, p. 702).
When you know how much God is in love with you the you can only live your
life radiating that love.
Mother Teresa Said...
When you know how much God is in love with you then you can only live your
life radiating that love.

Something bad happened at work today. We don't have all of the details, however a man made it into my employer's parking garage and jumped to his death. I didn't see him jump, but did see, from a distance him laying on the ground as the ambulance people picked him up.
This has weighed on my heart since it happened around 11 am. Would you please pray for this man? I'm sure God will know who you are praying for, even without a name.
