Daily Positive Thread for Monday

Everything we need to deal with life's problems lies within us. Our trials

are tests to see if we can discover the solution. Lord, I call out Your name

when I face my difficulties and together we will overcome them.

Scripture for the day:

"If God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow

is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you--you of little

faith! And do not keep striving for what you are to eat and what you are to

drink, and do not keep worrying. For it is the nations of the world that

strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them.

Instead, strive for his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as

well." ~Luke 12:28-31

Meditation for the day:

I know that God cannot teach anyone who is trusting in a "crutch." I can

throw away the worldly things I have come to depend upon and walk in God's

power and spirit. God's power can so invigorate me that I can indeed walk

on to victory. There is never any limit to God's power. I can go step by

step, one day at a time. God's will can be revealed to me as I go forward.

Prayer for the day:

I pray that I may have more and more dependence on God. I pray that I may

throw away the "crutches" I sometimes rely upon and let God's power take

their place.

Hello my friends! Today after Mass we had a relaxing day - I read for our class tonight on "Consoling the Heart of Jesus". Have to get caught up - was not feeling well during the week, but better now. We have a video with the class, it's always so good - then we have little group discussions. So thought I'd get our thread out now already. At Mass this morning, boy! can our young priest ever give good homilies! It was on the Prodigal son - and he compared it with other parts of the bible, and really did a lot of work and did a fantastic job preaching. He's only about 30, just ordained last June. We are blessed with two wonderful priests here and are forever grateful! Also grateful for the restful, and reading day today, calling my sister to wish her a happy birthday- two of my sisters have birthdays today - they are 2 years apart - 88 and 86. I'm quite a bit younger trailing in at the end!! I'm thankful for the 4 sisters God gave me, and wonderful family! Praying for all your needs and thanks for your prayers for us. God bless you!!

All Roads Lead Home

Whatever you are going through,

Of pain or circumstance,

It is not there because of luck,

It is not there by chance!

God has a special plan for you

That's known to Him alone,

So trust that He is leading right,

For all His roads lead home!

He's promised He will never give

A thing too much for us,

But make escape in every trial,

So in His mercy trust.

Sometimes the way is smooth and fine,

Sometimes all rock and stone-

But whatever way He gives,

All His roads lead home!

He uses pain, He uses others,

To bring deep-needed change.

No circumstance He gives to us

Is in our life in vain.

Oh, child of His, don't be concerned,

The path ahead's unknown,

For with the Savior as your Guide,

All His roads lead home!

Trust Him

Trust Him

when dark doubts assail you,

Trust Him

when your faith is small,

Trust Him,

when to trust Him . . .

is the hardest thing of all.

Trust Him,

He is ever faithful,

Trust Him

for His will is best,

Trust Him

for the Heart of Jesus,

is the only place of rest.

God's Will For You and Me

Just to be tender, just to be true,

Just to be glad the whole day through,

Just to be merciful, just to be mild,

Just to be trustful as a child,

Just to be gentle and kind and sweet,

Just to be helpful with willing feet,

Just to be cheery when things go wrong,

Just to drive sadness away with a song.

Whether the hour is dark or bright,

Just to be loyal to God and right,

Just to believe that God knows best,

Just in His promises ever to rest-

Just to let love be our daily key,

That is God's will for you and me.

CONSECRATION OF THE HUMAN RACE TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS

O most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the Human race; behold us prostrate most humbly before Your altar (in your presence). To You we belong; Yours we wish to be; and that we may be united to You more closely, we dedicate ourselves each one of us to-day to Your most Sacred Heart.

Many have never known You; many, despising Your commands, have rejected You. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Your sacred Heart. Be You King, O Lord, not only over the faithful who never have gone away from You, but also over the prodigal children who have forsaken You; and make them return quickly to their Father's house, lest they perish of misery and hunger. Be You King of those who have been misled by error, or separated by schism; and call them back to the haven of truth and the unity of faith, so that there may soon be one fold and one Shepherd. Grant to Your Church, O Lord, assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and grant that, over the whole earth, from pole to pole, may resound the words:

Praise to the Divine Heart, through which was brought to us salvation; glory and honor be to It for ever. Amen...

O Heart of love. I put all my trust in You; for I fear all things from my own weakness, but I hope for all things from Your goodness.

Most sweet Heart of Jesus, grant that peace, the fruit of justice and charity, may reign throughout the world.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, protect our families.
